Phnom Penh city fell to the Khmer rouge 25 days later after this recording. So sad because almost all those Lon Nol soldiers were killed by Pol Pot right away.

Perhaps they were the same Lon Nol soldiers who were beheading villagers at the time in return for a bounty from the Lon Nol regime !!

@@davidcraven1702 both sides is practicing beheading but your Khmer Rouge is far more Brutal than FANK soldiers they only kill Khmer Rouge soldiers/ Sympatizers in combat and the majority other is collateral victims, but the Khmer Rouge not only kill there enemys soldiers if captured but slaughter there families too then the rest that did not share there view which is 40% of the population ,then the other 58% is under suspicion of being Counter-revolutionarys , the 2% which the Top echeleon of Khmer Rouge left is not entirely safe also if they made some mistakes in following or questioning how the Party led they will consider a Counter-revolutionary also and be executed .
