Great seeing the departures, thanks for the video. We drove up from Calgary and were lucky we stayed a little long on Sunday when it finally opened up a bit to see some good flights. At least I got to see the Lancaster fly on your video LOL! Haven't seen that fly in 25 years, I bet, since I lived in Toronto. I think I'm going to have to time a Toronto trip to the CNE Airshow in 2025 to see it again.
Glad you stayed on Sunday! Looked pretty empty, unfortunately. The Lanc did a pass on arrival. You can find my video of that on my channel if you'd like. It's a beautiful plane! You just might need to go do that!
Great shots of the aircraft taking off, I didn’t think standing on the top of the truck would have made a difference, I was wrong.also it’s great I’m in your video lol.
Fire smoke. Lots and lots of smoke. Visibility was under 1 mile. Most of the Airshow wasn't able to happen, but a few things were able to fly on Sunday afternoon.
Fire smoke. Ironically the first of the season for Cold Lake. I was on the other side of the field during the departures and we could not see the aircraft until they were on the roll so it was hard to know exactly when they'd take off.
I missed the F-22s arriving the moment I decided to leave to change from uniform to civvies after waiting all day... Aaaaaand I missed them leaving when I got a phone call right before they took off. My luck with the Raptors is attrocious. Maybe another time.
great vid, no Cds planes, probably grounded due to weather thanks god we have the Americans or all we can fly is the Lancaster to keep us safe. Sad State of our military :-(
Thanks for breathing in all that SMOKE, so we viewers could enjoy the view from home!
Haha my pleasure! Cough cough.
Awesome! Great seeing you at the show.
You too! See you in Abby!
Thank you for posting this
Of course!
Thanks for the video.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Some great planes for sure
The Airshow did a great job of getting aircraft for this year's show.

Haha nice. It helps just enough to make it worth it.
Wow, is that B-52 outrigger driving across the grass? @1:30
Yes it is! They had wing walkers on arrival. Less concerned I guess on departure.
The taxiways in cold lake are not bomber scaled. also the BUFF is a BIG plane
@@avroarchitect1793 very cool. Hope the taxiway lights were good with it ;)
@@EricksonAviationMedia very cool.
Loved the show ! It was my first ever as well :)
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it!
I just moved to cold lake in December and was excited to see this show. Then I got deployed beginning of June lol. Oh well, I’ll see it in 2 years
Hope they have one in 2 years!
Great footage! What day was this? Late Sunday? Monday?
This was Monday morning. About 9am-Noon.
@@EricksonAviationMedia awesome. Good action. Thanks. Think I will start inserting Mondays into the airshow weekend.
Is it still called the Maple flag at Cold Lake. Went to it every year when I lived in Lloydminster Alberta.
Maple Flag is a military exercise rather than an Airshow. However, they haven't hosted it in several years to my knowledge.
This was the Cold Lake Air Show. Maple Flag is an entirely different thing and hasn't been run in a long time.
Would that be fire smoke or is it just overcast?

@@EricksonAviationMedia Ok thanks, lots of cool planes.

Dang, that sucks! Hope you're able to catch them sometime! Especially the demo team!
Yeah they made some noise on arrival and showed off a bit.
So much smoke
Ya it was crazy. I was just thankful that some flying actually happened.
USAF, Baby! 3:47 I did not have "Lancaster" on my bingo card...
Haha! She's an absolute treat to see in person!
Yes it was. The legend
😍VERA

Thanks. Hornets are all based at CL, so no need to depart. Missed the CC-330 depart. Got the Aurora though.

Haha, I saw my truck in the video. And me. Lol.
You must have gotten there a little later. The F 35s were just taking off when I got there from the other end of the runway.
What time was that at?
