Well, they are not only individuals but part of a group, too. It must be extremely difficult for a parent having to make that decission at such an early age. It´s not as if the girls had grown up and were going apart by themselves, every one of them at her pace and choosing the things they like most. It´s splitting them when they are not ready for it yet. I would have been as worried as Adam, not only for the three left behind but also for the other two, moving on without their sisters. The five of them have always been together since they came to this world. It must be heartbreaking. Luckily young children are resilient and can take more than we think. Anyway, I´ve never been able to understand American competitiveness and desire to move on and on and their lack of respect for family bonds.

Lucy Charnick it might have even been longer. She couldn't walk so she wasn't allowed in for safety reasons. Danielle was doing therapy and exercises with her for a long time to help her walk

Okay you can be in the same class and still be independent. My best friends are identical twins and was in the same exact classes nursery school to college. Litterally same classes and everything and they are still independent. They actually barely even talk to each other

Yeah My mom always had my sister and I together but we were a year apart not twins. There’s one time that I really remember that they wanted to separate us but we were so upset because we were always together in things. They wanted her to be in this room with other people and because I was older they wanted me to go in the other room. If we weren’t always together like that things would’ve probably gone differently
I agree...this is a good time to start letting them be apart some of the day...My identical twin grandgirls were together at home until pre-k at almost 5 years old { Sept. babies with Sept. 1st being the cut off } my daughter chose to put them in separate classrooms form the beginning, they were young and never questioned it, they thought that's how school is...they were apart until they switched school districts before 7th grade. They ended up having lots of classes together for the 1st time...One twin loves it and the other would rather have her own classes...I think the starting them out separate was great because they get to be themselves and not compared as much...we also didn't do the always matching outfits either...and now they dress completely different because they got to chose how they wanted to look...

That is like a Montessori school, where kids move at their own pace. I’m glad the teacher recommended moving Riley and Parker into a more advanced class. As a retired teacher, I would have done as the teacher did. There is no need for Riley and Parker to get bored just so they can be with their sisters, and we can’t forget that there are other kids in that class. The teacher was considering their needs as well. Good for her!

Omg! Not at three years old!!! They have enough time ahead to spread their wings when they really need it. Just now they´re fast toddlers, why is it more important to focus on their differences than on the things they have in common? I have seen many identical twins who have spent all their school years together and each couple of them are normal individuals who lead happy lives with their own families. On top of that, they have an excellent relationship with each other. But no one got traumatised whatsoever. Teachers recommend splitting twins just because it´s easier for them to handle individuals as multiples.
Riley really is very intelligent..sometimes it seems unfair to separate 2 girls to the next school but when u think of there individual advancements, it really is good to promote them to the next level.
I think this is wonderful! I'm an identical twin and our parents made sure to put us in a pre-school; in all learning settings where we would be treated as individuals by our teachers. I especially remember being 5 years old in swimming class and I could already do everything required for that level of swimming and more. The head coach asked my mom if it was okay to move just me up two levels and of course my mom said yes. It was so exciting for me and it didn't upset my sister at all she was just happy to be excelling in her own class. These aren't easy decisions to make when you have multiples but they're the most important ones because they show your children you truly care about them as individuals.
YES EXACTLY. I keep seeing comments range from saying Riley is prettier and just stuff and I agree. All the quint's are gorgeous but we can't compare because they'll grow up seeing it and maybe these comments are a factor of developing self esteem issues and comparing themselves to the other girls
each of them has their strengths and weaknesses, so there should Not be any kind of comparison among them Nor should there be any negative comments or favoritism!! Not healthy psychologically and emotionally for the individual child!
As a former teacher, I can assure you that this is a good move for all of them. There is nothing “behind” about the other three but when Riley and Parker take over all the answering, the others don’t bother to speak up. It’s not that they don’t know the answers. Plus, it will be very good for Riley and Parker not to be the leaders for a while. There are lots of kinds of learning and this is one of them. They are adorable and you are doing such a great job whit all six!

Notice how Parker is much better separating from the others HERE when she is with RILEY than when she is older and switched over to be with Lulu instead? I DO recall however how quickly and perfectly she cracked the egg AND how remarkably better she colored ---with all the colors inside the lines. Compare Parker's abilities to others her age and it's obvious that bossiness isn't a factor at all. As for Riley, her smarts have been obvious forever because Riley has so 'out there' a personality.

Riley and Parker, the smartest, prettiest and best named. And they seem like they have the closest bond, they're always together, holding hands and playing together. Out of all the girls, they seem to be closer to each other than they are to anybody else, except Adam. It will be sweet, because this way, they get to be themselves, and express themselves differently, when they're not around their sisters. And I don't think they will feel lonely because they have eachother. It made me mad though, when they thought the girls were getting in trouble, especially Riley. She's just mishcievous, she's not mean though.

I agree with you ...and think it is especially cute because they are so different in their personalities: Riri is outgoing; Parker is the lone introvert. Riley is full-speed-ahead on life; Parker, cautious. Riley is fearless; Parker, by nature exceedingly high-strung. Riley SEEMS most self-centered; Parker most quietly 'giving', unselfish and low-maintenance of the quints. Although we've seen them occasionally arguing, Riley is forward and aggressive; Parker, even though biggest and strongest, never takes advantage and never bullies, either physically or by screaming demands that her parents take her side. Also, recall how, on BOTH dental visits we saw, Riley was SO concerned for Parker's cries.

I agree...this is a good time to start letting them be apart some of the day...My identical twin grandgirls were together at home until pre-k at almost 5 years old { Sept. babies with Sept. 1st being the cut off } my daughter chose to put them in separate classrooms form the beginning, they were young and never questioned it, they thought that's how school is...they were apart until they switched school districts before 7th grade. They ended up having lots of classes together for the 1st time...One twin loves it and the other would rather have her own classes...I think the starting them out separate was great because they get to be themselves and not compared as much...we also didn't do the always matching outfits either...and now they dress completely different because they got to chose how they wanted to look...
No need to stuck the two fast learners in that class when they are already ready to move up.
Riley and Parker should have the freedom to learn new more stuffs,

That is like a Montessori school, where kids move at their own pace. I’m glad the teacher recommended moving Riley and Parker into a more advanced class. As a retired teacher, I would have done as the teacher did. There is no need for Riley and Parker to get bored just so they can be with their sisters, and we can’t forget that there are other kids in that class. The teacher was considering their needs as well. Good for her!
For me, I think it’s so endearing to see yet again how involved Adam is with his children!! It was nice to see him come to his own conclusions regarding all of the girls! Great parents!!

Just like potty training and everything else, they each develop at their own pace. you got to let them spread their wings.
Omg! Not at three years old!!! They have enough time ahead to spread their wings when they really need it. Just now they´re fast toddlers, why is it more important to focus on their differences than on the things they have in common? I have seen many identical twins who have spent all their school years together and each couple of them are normal individuals who lead happy lives with their own families. On top of that, they have an excellent relationship with each other. But no one got traumatised whatsoever. Teachers recommend splitting twins just because it´s easier for them to handle individuals as multiples.

I think this is wonderful! I'm an identical twin and our parents made sure to put us in a pre-school; in all learning settings where we would be treated as individuals by our teachers. I especially remember being 5 years old in swimming class and I could already do everything required for that level of swimming and more. The head coach asked my mom if it was okay to move just me up two levels and of course my mom said yes. It was so exciting for me and it didn't upset my sister at all she was just happy to be excelling in her own class. These aren't easy decisions to make when you have multiples but they're the most important ones because they show your children you truly care about them as individuals.

YES EXACTLY. I keep seeing comments range from saying Riley is prettier and just stuff and I agree. All the quint's are gorgeous but we can't compare because they'll grow up seeing it and maybe these comments are a factor of developing self esteem issues and comparing themselves to the other girls

As a former teacher, I can assure you that this is a good move for all of them. There is nothing “behind” about the other three but when Riley and Parker take over all the answering, the others don’t bother to speak up. It’s not that they don’t know the answers. Plus, it will be very good for Riley and Parker not to be the leaders for a while. There are lots of kinds of learning and this is one of them. They are adorable and you are doing such a great job whit all six!

@@skylights5824 I wish someone would provide evidence from the show or the videos that Parker is bossy. Never seen it tbh. I DO recall however how quickly and perfectly she cracked the egg AND how remarkably better she colored ---with all the colors inside the lines. Compare Parker's abilities to others her age and it's obvious that bossiness isn't a factor at all. As for Riley, her smarts have been obvious forever because Riley has so 'out there' a personality.

Riley and Parker, the smartest, prettiest and best named. And they seem like they have the closest bond, they're always together, holding hands and playing together. Out of all the girls, they seem to be closer to each other than they are to anybody else, except Adam. It will be sweet, because this way, they get to be themselves, and express themselves differently, when they're not around their sisters. And I don't think they will feel lonely because they have eachother. It made me mad though, when they thought the girls were getting in trouble, especially Riley. She's just mishcievous, she's not mean though.
Rebecca Gomprecht i think it was a wrong idea to call riley as naughty quint when they were first introduced. Now that's what people always thought of her "riley the naughty one" when in fact she's as sweet as her sisters.
I agree with you ...and think it is especially cute because they are so different in their personalities: Riri is outgoing; Parker is the lone introvert. Riley is full-speed-ahead on life; Parker, cautious. Riley is fearless; Parker, by nature exceedingly high-strung. Riley SEEMS most self-centered; Parker most quietly 'giving', unselfish and low-maintenance of the quints. Although we've seen them occasionally arguing, Riley is forward and aggressive; Parker, even though biggest and strongest, never takes advantage and never bullies, either physically or by screaming demands that her parents take her side. Also, recall how, on BOTH dental visits we saw, Riley was SO concerned for Parker's cries.
I'm so proud of you both for making the right decision at the end but I'm so curious how are Parker and Riley coping in their new class.I hope they did well.It felt awkward seeing Riley's confused expression at the end of the video.Go Riley! You can do it.😘😘😘❤
