I'm so happy to see Blaze playable. She's definitely one of my favorite characters in Sonic because of her visuals. She's a cat, she uses fire and she's purple. I do find it odd that the Chao are playable and not Cream and Cheese.
I can only assume they thought Cream was too young and innocent to drive a car, while those Chao are adults and Chao have proven to be quite competent. Sadly, it seems they didn't have any ideas for an extra character for Blaze's team (I don't know their name sorry) so they just shoved in Vector without the rest of the Chaotix (probably for the better Charmy would crash his car in the first 30 seconds)

The voice acting is horrible in this game (except eggman of course) and sounds like they were recorded in a hurry. It's times like this when i miss the 4kids cast.
I'll be honest, I've never liked the new voice cast but it gets worse every game. Knuckles sounds brain damaged, shadow sounds terrible in every way, silver sounds like he's 5 years old, and sonic sounds even more douchey in this game than in sonic forces. Rouge's voice is the only one that hasn't gotten progressively worse.

I still defend sonic 06 because i thought it was decent but the voice acting in this game did what i never thought was possible. It makes me dislike the characters themselves. Call it nit picking if you will but i miss when the voice actors tried and actually gave a damn about material they were acting for.

Don't like it in so many things :/ Silver, Knuckles and Shadow voices don't fit well (they stopped to hear like a "Teen", "Guardian" and "Deep Voiced Man" since Sonic Generations and Knuckles since Shadow The Hedgehog. Now Silver sounds like a kid who wants to be cool, Knuckles like a "air head" and Shadow like a prideful idiot or like a "Vegeta") and what the hell with the team mates? Where's Cream (pie)?, why Zavok is here? and MAN! why a detective is working with future teens? Ah, and the gameplay is so awful, the items are shitty and what happened with that "Mario Kart" mini-boost?. Not a big fan of Sonic kart race games...but hey, i like the tactics of team work, give and recieve assistance, and boost for the other 2 team mates.
I feel bad that cream is out..... Vector being with blaze and silver makes no sense. Vector should be with espio and charmy. Zavok being with eggman and metal makes no sense. Zavok should have some of his goons or whatever those others were.
Vector was always the shoe in character, so we should be used to seeing him outside of the Chaotix. Besides, Silver and Blaze are more popular than Espio and Charmy. They made Vector their power character since he's so flexible to fit into any team.
I love the game, but there is one complaint I do have with it; the character roster. Frankly, it's too small. Maybe I've been spoiled by CTR and Mario Kart 8, but this roster feels kinda lacking. One of the biggest complaints people had about the Sonic games was that there were too many characters, so let me kindly ask.... WHERE ARE ALL OF THEM?!
And then if you're really desperate, Team Charmy with Marine as technique and Cream... I don't know she's there I guess. Team Adventure - Chaos 0, Tikal and Gamma
I wish Rouge's voice had been one of the ones they changed. I've never liked her current voice for her, even though I usually like Karen Strassman's work. Shadow's has surprisingly grown on me over time, so maybe one day Rouge's will grow on me too. Would be nice if Quinton Flynn came back as Silver after this game, though. I don't mind the new VA, but I really liked Flynn's Silver more.

My thoughts on how the roster could be improved: Team Sonic: Already perfect Team Rose: Replace Chao with Cream Team Vector: Put Vector on his own team with Espio as the speed type and Charmy as the technique type, and call it 'Team Chaotix'. Then, put Chaos with Blaze and Silver as the power type and call it 'Team Light' Team Dark: Already perfect Team Eggman: Replace Zavok with Infinite.
That's a good idea, but I see a few flaws for this particular game regarding that roster: - Cream and Charmy are too small and too young to drive--Tails is somewhat different - Silver and Blaze have no connection to Chaos whatsoever, but they have never otherwise been on a three-person team - Eggman would probably have to change types - Would Zavok be dropped entirely?
I'm glad Rouge is finally in racing cars games , I love her so much . I think the games is low budget , then bring more characters from that game , also the story of the game .
The game looks good... but it seems to be a "Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed" but with a poor roster, Sega had a chance to do a very good sequel with more characters from the Sega Golden Era, new weapons and features... What a waste of potential T_T

If this game had gotten more support after launch, this could've been serious competition for Crash Nitro Fueled. With monthly or semi-monthly updates like CTRs grand prixs with new characters and tracks, this could have been so much better. Imagine if we got Chaotix Grand Prix: Casino Night from Sonic Heroes as the new track and Cream, Espio, and Charmy as the new characters Adventure Grand Prix: City Escape as the new track, Chaos, Tikal and E 102 Super Update: Super Sonic, Super Shadow and Super Silver would be the new characters in this update Unleashed Grand Prix: Soleanna would be the new track, with The Werehog and Chip as new characters Medieval Grand Prix: Camelot Castle will be the new track, sonic, blaze, shadow, and knuckles will their appearances from Sonic and the Black Knight as new skins. Where's Cream (pie)?, why Zavok is here? and MAN! why a detective is working with future teens? Ah, and the gameplay is so awful, the items are shitty and what happened with that "Mario Kart" mini-boost?.
Not a big fan of Sonic kart race games...but hey, i like the tactics of team work, give and recieve assistance, and boost for the other 2 team mates.
Im still mad at SEGA and Sonic Team for leaving Cream out and giving her spot to those dumb Chaos! This isn't the Sonic crew I know and love!

Vector being with blaze and silver makes no sense.
Vector should be with espio and charmy.
Zavok being with eggman and metal makes no sense.
Zavok should have some of his goons or whatever those others were.
Vector was always the shoe in character, so we should be used to seeing him outside of the Chaotix. Besides, Silver and Blaze are more popular than Espio and Charmy. They made Vector their power character since he's so flexible to fit into any team.

I love the game, but there is one complaint I do have with it; the character roster. Frankly, it's too small. Maybe I've been spoiled by CTR and Mario Kart 8, but this roster feels kinda lacking. One of the biggest complaints people had about the Sonic games was that there were too many characters, so let me kindly ask.... WHERE ARE ALL OF THEM?!

I wish Rouge's voice had been one of the ones they changed. I've never liked her current voice for her, even though I usually like Karen Strassman's work. Shadow's has surprisingly grown on me over time, so maybe one day Rouge's will grow on me too.
Would be nice if Quinton Flynn came back as Silver after this game, though. I don't mind the new VA, but I really liked Flynn's Silver more.

My thoughts on how the roster could be improved:
Team Sonic: Already perfect
Team Rose: Replace Chao with Cream
Team Vector: Put Vector on his own team with Espio as the speed type and Charmy as the technique type, and call it 'Team Chaotix'. Then, put Chaos with Blaze and Silver as the power type and call it 'Team Light'
Team Dark: Already perfect
Team Eggman: Replace Zavok with Infinite.
That's a good idea, but I see a few flaws for this particular game regarding that roster:
- Cream and Charmy are too small and too young to drive--Tails is somewhat different
- Silver and Blaze have no connection to Chaos whatsoever, but they have never otherwise been on a three-person team
- Eggman would probably have to change types
- Would Zavok be dropped entirely?

If this game had gotten more support after launch, this could've been serious competition for Crash Nitro Fueled. With monthly or semi-monthly updates like CTRs grand prixs with new characters and tracks, this could have been so much better. Imagine if we got
Chaotix Grand Prix: Casino Night from Sonic Heroes as the new track and Cream, Espio, and Charmy as the new characters
Adventure Grand Prix: City Escape as the new track, Chaos, Tikal and E 102
Super Update: Super Sonic, Super Shadow and Super Silver would be the new characters in this update
Unleashed Grand Prix: Soleanna would be the new track, with The Werehog and Chip as new characters
Medieval Grand Prix: Camelot Castle will be the new track, sonic, blaze, shadow, and knuckles will their appearances from Sonic and the Black Knight as new skins. Only 1 new character will be released: King Arthur (The Black Knight)
Finally, to go out with a bang, the Riders Grand Prix: Dolphin Resort will be the new track, with Wave, Jet, and Storm as the new characters
