    DJ, I understand her perspective on marriage, but I can't ignore the trends I see here in Canada. How come many Indians and Asians, in general, are very successful in their marriages over here? While I respect Ghanaian women, I feel cautious about the potential challenges of marrying someone from my own community here. My two cents

    • @kikikeel7695
      @kikikeel7695 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Don't assume that just because people stay together, it means the marriage is successful. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors. There are a lot of Asian channels that discusses these things. The difference is that, their communities work together.

      @Chase005 People stay together for various reasons. This includes cultural, financial, 'for the sake of children' respect for each other etc... That's the reality of life. Some live their own lives but put up a united fronts for the sake of family and friends some are genuine. Only the people in the relationship know the reasons behind their decisions or actions.

      The Asians better each others lives. They view money as a tool to improving their families. The lady's view is totally selfish and I really can't fathom why people are upholding her utterance about marriage. What prevents you as a wife from pushing your husband to improve his knowledge professionally?

    So now it seems people marry only when they need assistance for money right and if they are ok financially then they don't need any money, you see the foolish mentality of some people? Marriage is for companionship and true love has no boundaries, you can have all the money in the world and still lack happiness so the point is this: Do not let money determine how you should behave in your marriage life, but rather use money to enrich your marriage. Do not let people lax mentality about marriage dictate how you should treat your marriage mate. Show respect and love to each other and read the Bible everyday and apply the principles in it, help one another in chores like cooking, washing ,cleaning etc and you will enjoy your marriage life. Remember use money to enrich your marriage, do not allow money to ruin your marriage.

      @kk-uo9cy 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      You are talking real gospel, but unfortunately, that's the mentality of most people, especially women. Most women come into marriage with premeditated needs and wants, as soon as these are accomplished or attained, they then find a way to quit the marriage or (God-fearing ones) would behave in a distasteful way to be divorced.

      @kk-uo9cy not all womem but I agree to some extent that most women these days are opportunist ic and materialistic....the value of true marriage as God has ordained has somewhat changed...very few live a true married life

    Women are looking for men who can take care of them, whereas men are looking for women who will take care of their homes. The world is a battle of interests, but the good people always become the victims. U are right on the money about marriage. Our parents have influence on who are partners are but we have to remember our parents are not the one responsible for our marriage. U make a valid point. My parents were disappointed when I married my wife (an African-American). They welcomed her & were happy to meet her during our visit to Ghana in the early 80s. We have been married for more than forty-years plus & still kicking. 😂
