- Debra was the child of an alcoholic Mother who started seeking because she could not live with her mind’s conditioning anymore. She was a mass of anxiety, hurt and plagued by the past and terrified by the future. She started to meditate which helped to lift the heavy energies she had acquired. She developed a very painful nerve condition and learnt to be with the pain. Found that a dreadful curse became a true blessing.
She would spend 5 hours a day in meditation and got to the point where, ‘I was done.’
‘I thought I knew who I was but suddenly I wasn’t that anymore. So I sat with it and asked ‘Who Am I?’ ‘Who or what is that?’ And the answer came ‘I am God!’ I realised in that moment I am God in expression and now my mind was free. Now there is just me and God and me knowing that I am God.’

This is honestly such a refreshing thing, after all the videos I've seen of teachers doing satsangs and trying to point to awakening using all of this flowery language and quotes from ancient texts, it's so nice to see just "ordinary" awakened people telling their experience in everyday language. I resonate so much with their experiences, this is exactly what I needed to hear at this stage of my awakening. Thanks so much for posting!

Your down to earth explanation of your life & its blossoming, has made me realize that I am on the right road. Not wondering in the, dark confusion, ! as I somethings mistakenly believe.

Excellent! I haven't watched any of your videos for a while, but this was a great one to stumble upon. Not only enjoyed watching each person separately, but also enjoyed the idea of putting the three of them together in an interview - more of that would work well, I think.Having "ordinary people" on, too, is wonderful. They don't have to have written a book or anything to be inspiring. Glad you've taken a chance on trying this out. And, as always, I love your simple style of interviewing - it always feels there's a simple stillness in which your interviews are held.
An absolutely outstanding achievement, this episode. kudos to these three "normal" people for coming and speaking their truths so beautifully - in a way that we can understand, relate to and appreciate. I'll be watching this one over and over, I can tell! Debra, its like you've put words to so many of my own processes and experiences. So comforting. Thank you.
Great interview, thank you all. It would've been good to have a whole hour with Debra (and each of the others), the process she went through was fascinating and insightful. I welcome more interviews with "ordinary" awakening people, there's something fresh and original about their stories.
