I also like to start with the camera native profile (I shoot with Nikon D850 and Z7, and I like their built-in Portrait profile as a first step).

Thanks Julia. great video. I've been using LR, PS and Luminar AI recently, but not in as much detail as you demo'd with Luminar. I have a bunch of photos in LR's catalog with edits, how would they import into Luminar if I decided to dump LR/PS? I find removing objects in PS really easy. Do you have any experience in Luminar? thanks. Peter
The main problem with LuminarAI is that it's slow. When processing 61MP compressed RAW files from the A7R IV directly in LuminarAI, the program becomes quite unresponsive. You really do need to export a lower quality file to it from Lightroom.
I agree with this, well I dont have a 61mp sensor, but even in my D850 and Z7 45.7MP each adjustment takes 1-3 seconds to take effect which make the whole experience a bit painful.
I actually used Luminar AI to edit the photos in my last behind the scenes video of the GFX100S which are huge files - both compressed and uncompressed photos and while it took a little bit longer to open files while using it as a plug in, I was able to edit my photos without it crashing. Just the opening of the file takes a little longer for me, the same as when I import GFX files to Lightroom, but once it's open it applies the effects like A7III files. Does your computer run fine with Lightroom or other photo editing software? I'm just curious because I genuinely like Luminar AI and haven't had the same experiences with it being unresponsive. I think their latest update had some performance/speed improvements too
