Prince Philip was there for quite a lot of the Duke & Duchess of Windsor wanting to come back, then when put off, they’d go on faux royal tours, sponging off of friends. The Duke was believed to be in the black market for cash. They moved around to avoid taxes. They too spent a great deal of time here in America, Palm Springs, New York, Chicago and Miami.
Both couples always look for freebies, work their staff to pieces, no tipping at restaurants. Then they took to writing books, or doing tv interviews WHINING about how poorly done by they were😢😭Henry & Rachel should have studied history more.

I saw a "What Happened To" on Utube about Wallis Simpson. She ended up broke, sick & alone in an apartment in a not so uppity area. Very few if any at all visitors. She did have a care giver who ended up stealing some of her things. She couldn't see very well either. This is how she left this world, penniless & alone. Her life went downhill fast after her husband died.

Her lawyer was given Power of Attorney & allegedly sold everything of value to pay for the 24/7 care she required at her home. Their home was rented on peppercorn rent to them & they werent that rich as Edward spent most of their money before he passed.
M.M copies some of Princess Diana’s outfits as well. But whoever she copies she never quite gets it right because she hasn’t got the style or the elegance.
Only MM can cheapen designer clothes. As well, you can’t teach Tall (like Princess Diana & Princess Catherine) … not even with 6” stilettos.

M is far, far worse than Wallis Simpson. Wallis, to begin with, was content to be a royal mistress; she was not hellbent on marrying the King, in fact, she was still very attached to her husband, Ernest. She was willing to give up her relationship with Edward VIII, if it would solve the problems and stop the Abdication. HE was the one hellbent on marrying her and quitting as King. Most of their troubles were caused by him, not her. But, in other ways, yes - Edward VIII (David) had a strong liking for domineering 'mummy' figures, just as H has.

There is no doubt that Meghan copies Wallis Simpson on many occasions. For instance the dress and hairstyles she wore on the Oprah show were pretty close to a dress and hairstyle in a famous photo of Wallis Simpson, and the atrocious shorts that she wore at the Invictus games were a direct copy of an outfit that Wallis Simpson wore once. I think she was trying to stick it up to the royal family , just petty !

Outside of my love for her late Majesty, my favourite people were Prince Philip and Princess Anne - can you guess why? I loved their directness - no nonsense , "just get on with it" attitude. I had the honour of meeting Princess Anne in Toronto in 2004. She totally lived up to my expectations and I wish we could have had a drink and a gab. So I am not surprised, and I had heard it before, that Prince Philip called Megsy" DoW " (I'm surprised he didn't call her a cow, but she is more of a reptile than a bovine.)
Megsy likes being a thorn to the Royal family. She's no team player, therefore, why does she expect adoration from the British people?
She needs a PR team to make her more likable, relatable... that's a red flag right there! Princess Catherine is likable and relatable. No PR required.
I've never understood why she would want to dress like Wallis Simpson. Not pretty clothes. I would think she was joking, but she doesn't have a sense of humor. I think she'll just take attention anyway it comes, and she knew copying her clothes would get people talking.
