The loreal professional shampoo for grey hair is SOOOOO much better then the bleach London one! It actually makes your hair grey when you use it. Always found the bleach london ones makes your hair more purple/lilac :)

I do it too! Your hair adapts over time to less washing, its better for it too as you don't wash away the natural oils your hair produces to protect and nourish itself. :)
hiya soph. I've literally never left a comment on youtube before but I had to tell you! I've dyed my hair pretty much every colour you can think of since i was 12. im now 26 so as you can imagine it's not in its best condition. I dyed it rainbow colours about two months ago and i also wash my hair once a week (mostly to make the colour last) but I use palmers coconut co wash instead of a normal shampoo and conditioner. it has none of the nasty chemical found in shampoos and my hair has been feeling amazing! it doesn't fall out as much and just generally looks so much healthier. I'd recommend this stuff to everyone! Also have to say I love your videos, you're amazing and have taught me so much about makeup! so thank you for everything you do =)

haha oh no! when you dye dark hair it often goes bright orange then you have to bleach it again and then tone it to make it a nice blonde! thank you! :D

What sort of colour does this begin to fade out to when you haven't redone it in a while? For maintaining it I'd recommend getting one of those hair treatments/deep conditioners that come in tubs and putting a little bit of the dye in it. Then whenever you're showering and shaving your legs, exfoliating etc put the mixture on your hair and leave it whilst you do it. It'll then treat your hair and refresh the dye a bit :) And for the condition of your hair I can't recommend Aphogee 2 minute treatment more, I tell EVERYONE to buy it. I've been bleaching my hair myself since I was 15 and this is the one thing that's genuinely saved my hair. Read the reviews on amazon if you don't believe me!
Love your hair! The colour is beautiful. I am a hair stylist & I also only wash my hair once a week, twice max. Your hair naturally self cleanses & it's actually great for you hair as the natural oils aren't being cleansed out as often. I once did an experiment where I didn't shampoo my hair for a whole month & my hair was in great condition, afterwards. In terms of getting grey hair, the only way to go (if you don't naturally have super light hair) is to bleach it. I would say that before bleaching, make sure you get your hair into the best condition possible & also use good quality products when bleaching. If the hair needs to be bleached more than once (it can sometimes be best to do it gradually) make sure that you are taking good care, in between. To avoid extra breakage, always comb/brush your hair, starting from the bottom & working your way up so you're not dragging knots & tangles down your hair. Hope this helps someone xoxo

Soph, did you use heat protectant when you straighten your hair? Because I use to not do that when I was younger and my hair started breaking off in bits like that because my hair was so damaged. Now I have super heathy hair thanks to the leave in cream called "it's a ten" I HIGHLY recommend it for you because it literally saved my hair!!
Actually it's not, your elderly neighbour's hair is actually losing its pigment (which is why it's going 'grey') which is funny because Sophie is adding pigment.
what i suggest is go to your hairdresser and get a natural shadow root. i graduated beauty school a couple months ago so i am by no means an expert but I'm nearly licensed. i'm just telling you this because i'm in the same boat. beauty school meant i wanted to constantly change my hair so i went from dark brown to copper-orange, to blonde, to bleach blonde/white like yours was, to blonde with pink on the bottom, to blue, back to bleach-blonde and i have broken bits underneath as well and a bunch of thin flyaways on top that keep breaking. so i've resorted to a natural shadow root so i can keep the color i want on the bottom, but this way it'll be like a natural ombre. if you just let your roots grow and leave them alone it'll be a straight line whereas the shadow root would blend it. sorry for typing a book lol just thought i'd suggest it, completely your decision!
You should try ditching sulphates and silicones too. I've got bleached silver/lilac hair and its made a big difference for me. :) It will make the colour last longer too.
Do you know if this product stains the hair? Like for example when you have blue hair you always end up with a green tone you cant get rid of... Does this hair mask leave any colour or you just end up having the same blonde hair you had before applying it? Thanks in advance :)

I've been bleach free since July 2015 and the difference in the hair that's never seen bleach to the ends that have is immense. You don't realise how bad your hair is as it's such a gradual thing. I still have magenta hair, I found a temporary dye that is strong enough to cover my natural ginger but I'm currently just letting the roots riot and going ginger with magenta ends eventually. The hair that's never seen bleach never seems to lose colour but the ends it washes out after 3/4 washes 😅 (PS try going as heat free as possible on the new growth it'll help you regain and keep the hair health as it grows out)

I'm totally the same with washing my hair about once a week. I have a scalp that flares up and gets so itchy if I wash my hair too much, I also have pink/purple dip dye which fades if I wash it too much!

I bleached my hair on my own and it was fine. Little to no damage. You have to use the lowest volume bleach. Don't go for those 30/40 vol ones. What damages the hair more is using heat on your hair like blow drying, curling, straightening without proper heat protection and moisturizing. Whatever you put your hair through, you will have to take care of it so the damage is minimum. For breakage occurring in your under layer (I have that too) you can do steam treatments (keratase is the best for hair stuff) which helped my hair greatly. They are quite costly because steam device is only at the saloons or if you want to do it all the time, you buy one yourself which doesn't come cheap. To regain thickness you can also use hair growth serums but they are hella expensive. I'm trying to budget so I can use those :( I still want grey hair lol but I think once my hair (I have dark hair) reach to the point that it could be dyed grey, the grey color would already be out of style.

I bleached my hair on my own and it was fine. Little to no damage. You have to use the lowest volume bleach. Don't go for those 30/40 vol ones. What damages the hair more is using heat on your hair like blow drying, curling, straightening without proper heat protection and moisturizing. Whatever you put your hair through, you will have to take care of it so the damage is minimum. For breakage occurring in your under layer (I have that too) you can do steam treatments (keratase is the best for hair stuff) which helped my hair greatly. They are quite costly because steam device is only at the saloons or if you want to do it all the time, you buy one yourself which doesn't come cheap. To regain thickness you can also use hair growth serums but they are hella expensive. I'm trying to budget so I can use those :(
I still want grey hair lol but I think once my hair (I have dark hair) reach to the point that it could be dyed grey, the grey color would already be out of style.
