It goes beyond the Latin people... The Roman Empire build the western world. Our own Empire which was the largest and most dominant Empire in history with much of the world under the foot. The language we speak today and the English world which is the U.S, Asussies, Canada , NA ect... The Roman Empire created England, London, York ect ect... It all down to the Italic peoples under the Romans.

      @@KnowzsPenge Lmao, calm down.
      - British culture is far from being Latin or Roman.
      - The British Empire was large, but it was dominant by only one century (1815-1914)
      - English language is the most spoken and the business language only thanks to EEUU (By far the most powerful power) and its independence from Britain
      So... nope

    • @KnowzsPenge
      @KnowzsPenge ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@javierslytherin9898 I did not say that British culture is Latin culture.
You are wrong - Britain's empire was the most extensive that the world has ever seen, and it lasted for more than 300 years. Across that empire, from the 17th century through to the 20th, emigrant Britons, their imperial governors and colonial descendants invoked Magna Carta.
It was two world wars that ended the British Empire, the price of victory after WW1 sent the Empire decline but even by 1940, the British still had the most power Navy in the World and that much was proven when defeating all of you at Sea and defeating Germany with the Battle of Britain and in beat Germany in Africa, defeated Italy as well, much of that was done before the US was even in the war.
Did Roman Empire need to fight to the two largest wars ever seen in world history? No, that's right... Just babartians and Pagans
And I suggest learning some history before talking like a child online, maybe you are just that. All I see from you is ignorance..
Just like Rome created European identity, the British had done so for the English world which is what dominates the world today, not the EU which is just a collection of countries, no military or any real influence on the world other than Europe so you calm down. the EU is nothing but a name, no country in it shares the same culture or language and has won no wars or anything.
The world you see today, was created by the British. Now we see a continuation through her colonies... And that is what Britain was, a Colony of Rome which was the point. Educate yourself.

Nicely done. Imagine this a few thousand years ago with thousands of legionaries marching in order into relatively small tribal towns. It would have been an impressive sight and a demonstration of power and discipline that few in those small towns/cities would have seen before in their life. It would have made the Romans seem foreign, invincible and terrifying especially combined with the known capability for organized atrocities.

The procession left the Plaza de Oriente at half past five in the afternoon bound for Puerta del Sol.
The people of Madrid and visitors who found the parade began to make videos and take photos with the troops of the legions and castrexa tribes. Both at the beginning and at the end, the members of the associations that attended (there were 12 of the 19) received hundreds of requests to take photos or so that the children could touch the armor and weapons."

Two legionnaires carry a fasces (2:07 and again 4:04) - a bundle of rods bound together and around an ax that projects its blade. It was carried as a symbol of unity, strength, and authority. So much authentica here that's it's impressive. Only thing unhistorical about these guys and their march is the shouting of the commands in Spanish instead of Latin (though it may be Latin with a heavy Spanish accent). Okay, and the snare and kettle drums, with the drum sticks rolled by kids and girls. But the Romans were nonetheless the first to introduce such marching which helped build up the military spirit and ironclad cohesiveness of the Roman legions. Their faithfulness to the letter of the law and equality of everyone before the law was also something we got from them. Didn't know the Spaniards honored their Roman past in such a way.

But I'm definitely not opposed to this even -- the march, the units beautifully outfitted, the concept itself of the town preserving and recreating Roman tradition. I wonder if they do the same for the Vandals, Visigoths, Moors. Ave Caesar! Salve Caesar!

"The street marketing intervention promoted by the City Council of Lugo, taking Arde Lucus to the streets of central Madrid, was a success. Thousands of people made a corridor on both sides of the streets where some 150 members of the associations of the Romano Castrexa festivals paraded.
