    • @jacobxpeck
      @jacobxpeck 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great addition to a screen shop! Gtx likes being used daily as it will still waste ink on circulations etc, ink waste isn’t too bad if you’re using it regularly. Depends on the print sizes man, cmyk inks last for 1000+ depending, as doesn’t use a lot, white inks go a lot faster, say 200/300 on most fashion designs for the 2X700cc bags

    Great video, Jacob! Very informative & helpful. Thanks!
    It cracks me up that I keep seeing Omniprint Freejet commercials when I watch your video. I am done with shitbox printers. Anyway, I have a few questions:
    1. Do you use Image Armor Ultra PT?
    2. I've been reading about how the GTX wastes a lot of white ink when it's sitting around not printing, but those posts are a few years old. Has that changed, perhaps with software updates?
    3. After shaking the white ink cartridges you did a white ink reload. What is that exactly? Does the GTX pull white back into the cartridge at the end of day, or is that reload pissing out the white ink in the lines?
    4. How do you prevent head strikes with the GTX? Is there a laser sensor, or do you just lower the platen so the garment will fit under the lip?
    5. What brand/model tunnel dryer do you have?
    6. Lastly, can you recommend a strategy for properly maintaining a GTX Pro while I am building my business up to where I am printing every day?
    I have a million other questions. You're LUCKY I live in the U.S. or I'd be at your shop, asking questions, until you physically threw me out!
    Thanks again for the great video!

      A converted epson printer isn’t even remotely close to the machine the brother gtx is. Ink cost is high on brother, in Australia 2X 550cc bags of white is $520. Unfortunately, I purchased 4 Brother GTX. I am so disappointed
    The machine functions well when it is operational, but once it breaks down, the situation becomes a nightmare. The service provided by Brother is incredibly disappointing. They charge for numerous parts under the guise of "fixing" your machine, only to later inform you that additional parts are required. They send technicians to attempt repairs, but each time, they request more parts, leading to additional charges for unnecessary components, technician time, travel expenses, and mileage.
    To date, I have already paid approximately $3000, believing that the issue had been resolved. However, the machine still fails to print, and now they are demanding an additional $3000 to "fix" it. I made the mistake of relying on their services, and I caution others to be aware of this before making a purchase. Please note that my experience is personal and not intended as a recommendation.
