Sarah J Maas is really good at introducing characters and the bring them back in a very important way. I really haven't seen this done this well since Harry Potter. Well, at least young adult and independant readers. Love this series.
I still kind of hate him tbh🤣🤣. It's the way he still insists on thinking about Aelin like she's some kind of monster, murderer or mad woman that i-n-f-u-r-i-a-t-e-s me. I noticed it, all the way back from the first book. Celaens has done nothing to indicate herself a danger to the average person, but she comes to ask for 'permission' to go into the castle proper and he's squinting at her like, 'okay but if you kill anyone..."🙄. It has always felt to me that when she was in chains, and she was this poor, beautiful, troubled girl he had power over, he was content to play the hero. But the moment she got powerful, really powerful, so powerful he couldn't Control her, that power seemed to scare him. And then he turned nasty reeeal quuuick and has never really let his mind come back from this place that, if she's more powerful than anyone I know, she's dangerous, she's a murderer, even rowan can't 'keep her in check'. God, everytime he had one of those stupid interior monologues I wanted to punch him in his stupid face. Like she's some animal thst needs to be leashed. Every single time he mentioned what happened with Archer finn I wanted to punch him. Literally, you're taking her treatment of absolute monsters who caused the death of one of her closest friends and applying it blanketedly to how she would treat all people? And right at the end of this book, tears come to his eyes when he realised what Aelin did for Yrene. But that pissed me off too, because Aelin has been kind and generous, for forever. And he's chosen not to see it because of his own petty insecurities, just like he chose not to see the king he willingly served was evil. As long as I live, I think i will hate chaol... And I'm okay with that😂😂😂
IS THIS ANOTHER LOOPHOLE? In Heir of Fire Luca mentioned a person who had pretty much the exact same powers as Dorian: “We did have a female wander in with raw magic two years ago- she could do anything she wanted, summon any element, and she was here a week before Maeve called her to Doranelle and we never heard from her again” (pg 85). This sounds so much like Dorian. Is this another person with the same bloodline as Aelin and Dorian???? Can we sacrifice them instead?? 😅😅😅

first the sacrifice can be either Dorian or Aelin im pretty sure and i bet they will both be fighting over that honor. second the entire book everyone keeps mentioning chess or being pieces and the gods are making moves to get everyone to a certain place which is with Aelin in this war. that means that this sacrifice is not just the only thing that needs to happen... elide and manon seem unimportant to that plot of sacrifice they are part of a deeper plot that the gods are playing... so we dont even know what there game is... coz why call it a game if your main goal is to kill your strongest piece... so all these gods have picked there own champion and sent them into this war but why? why do they even need to have that much influence if all they want is to go home? you need to go back and like reread all the rules of this entire deal then pick them apart and find all the loop holes it may not even be Aelin Kaltain Rompier!!!!!!!!!!! she SACRIFICED HERSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 what if the sacrifice has already been made and all they need to do is put the lock in the door and seal it!! she had fire magic thats why Duke Perrington paid attention to her in the first place thinking she was Aelin or the heir.... maybe she was????? some fucked up wording BS is happening

I love Sarah J. Maas. She is the only fantasy author that has managed to reduce me to a sobbing idiot while reading her books. The first series I've read of hers was Court of Thorns and Roses. SJM freakin' rocks! 😃👍❤️

Yeah the romance in this book is probably my favourite out of the TOG series (and funnilly i think even people who disliked Chaol may say they love this book too). Not to mention, i cried so much reading this, happy tears, sad tears, pretty much the whole package And that scene where Chaol starts walking again!!!! He didnt even realise it T-T XD!!!! And when he finally figured out Yrene was messing with him XD Favourite scene ever, that was the BEST way to show him standing again, where something to him was more important than him being able to walk. He was so much more concerned for his relationship with Yrene which he didn't want to mess up. Favourite Scene 1: When Chaol reads the letter and connects the dot. The whole book i was screaming at Yrene "JUST SHOW HIM THE LETTER" knowing he'd recognize her handwriting. But then yeah, having him knowing how far he's come with Yrene and how Aelin was a huge reason for it even without intending to made the moment his tears began to fall so much more worth it. Favourite Scene 2: Chaol starts walking. When Yrene started dodging him as he was walking, i burst out squealing and laughing with tears still falling down my eyes.
The whole time I was watching this I just kept replaying your interview with Sarah and her correcting all your pronunciations and I’m so proud of how far you’ve come 🤧

To be honest, I would recommend reading tower of dawn before empire of storms. I actually didn’t know it was supposed to be after empire if storms but empire of storms made so much more sense to me when I read it because I read tower of dawn first.
This book was such an emotional ride ! I am so happy you've done this video . There are so many reasons now I want to read the next book asap . The story is going on sooo sooo many lines I am just excited how Sarah is going to saw everything together. It is going to be a masterpiece for sure !!!!
I believe Amren was a servant of Hellas, because they said in this book that Hellas was a death god and she said she was the servant of a death god. It makes so much sense. Ahhhh! I just love these series so much and I'm gonna be so sad when they both end. 😥

But Manon mentioned that while witches don't have magic they have Yielding which means that they can give their life and release all their power, which Manon said can be super powerful. And I think in the last book one of the Thirteen will do this to win the war if not Manon herself will. Just wanted to share my theory!!

I, too, have been procrastinating reading Tower of Dawn but after watching the first 3 minutes of this, you've convinced me.
Barely two minutes in and I'm laughing ao hard!!!! The world has blessed Christine with audiobooks so she can say the names right! But aaawww I liked your versions of them.
I really loved this book, took me bac to the first 2 books, taking a rest from Aelin, Rowan and Aedion was soooo nice!!!!!

I personally prefer throne of Glass but alot of people prefer acotar! I always like going in an author publication order =)

To be honest, I would recommend reading tower of dawn before empire of storms. I actually didn’t know it was supposed to be after empire if storms but empire of storms made so much more sense to me when I read it because I read tower of dawn first.

This book was such an emotional ride ! I am so happy you've done this video . There are so many reasons now I want to read the next book asap . The story is going on sooo sooo many lines I am just excited how Sarah is going to saw everything together. It is going to be a masterpiece for sure !!!!
I believe Amren was a servant of Hellas, because they said in this book that Hellas was a death god and she said she was the servant of a death god. It makes so much sense. Ahhhh! I just love these series so much and I'm gonna be so sad when they both end. 😥

I don't know if this counts a spoilers so be warned if you haven't read up to empire of storms. But Manon mentioned that while witches don't have magic they have Yielding which means that they can give their life and release all their power, which Manon said can be super powerful. And I think in the last book one of the Thirteen will do this to win the war if not Manon herself will. Just wanted to share my theory!!
