I had the 1982 R100RT Lava Rot. We toured from Mainz, Germany to the Swiss Alps crossed over to Italy. Toured the BeNeLux, France. Loved it all. This brings back so many great memories.

I bought my bike new from the factory in February 1982; picked it up in March. We began with weekend trips in April 1982. Took the long trip down to Switzerland and Italy that Summer. We camped on Lago Maggiore with a Swedish couple. Unfortunately, I dont have any videos. I do have photos. We have many photos that look similar to yours. Great memories. Thanks!

I am convinced we live in the best continent in the world... best in terms of historical, cultural, environmental, gastronomical, linguistic richness. Europe offers endless possibilities and places to visit.
I just hope to have enough time and will to keep on riding for many years along different beautiful places, your video is really inspirational, well done!
PS, recently I bought a BMW R1150RS so technically I am a boxer tourer as well! :D
