All of the entrants who landed salmon received very good quality rods and reels donated by
Hunting and Fishing Tower Junction and Rangiora Branches who were the major sponsor.
The juniors also received rods and reels and a trophy for the heaviest 3 Kahawai.
A lot of the other Canterbury and Christchurch fishing stores, tackle suppliers and local businesses chipped in with sports goods, product and vouchers which all went towards spot prizes (drawn under police supervision).
There were a lot of drawn prizes presented including 2 super draws with a good crowd in attendance.

Yes 3 weighed in and a few good sized Kahawai for the Juniors.
Amazing that young lad and his grandfather (on his third cast) got one each from the same place at McIntoshes rocks early on.(Both fin clipped)
The winning fish was from further up somewhere at the banana hole later in the day.( That was a wild fish not fin clipped)
Good crowd at the prize giving event.
