I agree with this statement so very much. Why is it that firing a gun randomly into a crowd, you can easily get charged with dozens of attempted murder charges. Yet, driving a heavy vehicle, which is legally considered a deadly weapon, in such a way that you are risking **hundreds** of lives... You only get a traffic ticket? I live between where this video is, and Milwaukee. The last time I went to Milwaukee was 2 years ago. I have no plans on ever returning to there. The last time I was there, I had 4 cars blow red lights at 60mph+ in a turning lane. Imagine if a kid was crossing the crosswalk!!! Imagine if they lost control and hit my car?! Imagine if a car was on the cross street! No chance would it not be a fatality. As far as I am concerned, There were 4 murder attempts on my wife and myself that day. Until the Wisconsin government decides to fix these problems, As far as I'm concerned, I'm smack between Greenbay and Chicago. There's no relevant city closer. (Sorry Madison, but what you have that makes you a city I can't afford) And the city of Milwaukee to me... Simply does not exist on the map anymore.
Because that's not financially beneficial to the state, instead they level multiple charges so that the criminal will end up oweing millions in infractions, of course can never pay, then that gets called a state deficit and they can get federal funding.

Because the road is still open and they need to make sure the suspect is the one that hits the sticks, not some random dude, and because if they just lay it in the road the guy will see them and just fine around them. The idea is to make sure that it is the correct car and then try to throw the sticks in front at just the right moment so he cant avoid them. That take take that much brainpower to figure out? I always thought it would be better if they tried pulling them from the shoulder onto the road, that way they are already at ground level, the pulling extends them out and it would be easier to get under at least 1 or 2 tires.

"Taking the offramp" while driving the opposite way on an onramp... who is this? There are multiple instances of reckless driving by the onboard vehicle here. As comments have stated, the driver here is guilty of attempted murder, including to police during multiple near misses during the chase, despite warnings from the partner. Trained but justified doesn't exist. Trained and justified perhaps would've, but what's the justification for placing so many lives at risk through all this driving?
The police should not under any circumstances allow a criminal to drive the wrong way. They have to use spikes, cut off traffic a few miles ahead, but a circumstance like this endangers the lives of dozens of innocent people who do not expect under any circumstances to find a car in the opposite direction and can cause accidents. Accidents that are the same as murders.
You think they ALLOWED wrong way driving? He went around the spikes, and blocking a few kilometers (and we use miles here) works? When they don't buckle up it is because they are doing low speeds and duty belts are not designed to wear with seat belts, and in dangerous situations because being trapped in a car when you are bebe shot at is easy now dangerous than but wearing a belt. I 100% guarantee that if that claim isn't totally made up by you, thank it is based on someone to asking cops whether they ever go without a belt. Most said yes, I sometimes dont wear a belt. Suspect crossing over into oncoming traffic during a high speed chase should immediately allow the use of lethal force. Fleeing a police stop should be automatically 10 year sentence with no chance of parole.
I believe that stop sticks would be more effective if an officer was dropped off with them and then move the rolling billboard out of sight (cop car with flashing lights that broadcast, "Stop sticks! Get your stop sticks here while they last!"). The officer with the sticks should hide off the side of the road and deploy the sticks when the suspect is within range. Seeing the cop car in the distance, they have advanced warning and take defensive action to avoid the sticks.
