Suisei really lived a cinderella story, that part about her dad's chronic alcohol poisoning is frightening. So happy to hear she managed to help her father improve, the man likely just gained 10 years on his life expectancy.
The more I know about Sui-chan, the more impressive she is. Having to deal with a relative with those problems is heavy a huge burden on the mind and the spirit of a family, and in spite of that she found the energy to chase dreams and entertain us nonetheless.
So much of addiction is just bad habits taking over and spiraling out of control when you're feeling too aimless, gardening and house improvement gives you goals and good habits at the same time!
Man, didn't expect her to drop something like this so casually. The "BGM" part... No kid should ever be able to say something like that about their parent. And here I thought her life story couldn't be tougher. I'm just happy it's a thing of the past.
I was surprised by that as well. Maybe it was actually a wisteria arch, which is a lot easier to grow and I believe is common in Japan, but Suisei doesn't know from flowers and called it by whatever came to mind.
From over 600 to 80? That’s some impressive discipline. I’m glad to hear Suisei’s dad is taking better care of himself! Good for everyone. Happy for Suisei. 🙏🏻
This is so relatable had a dad who bought so many flowers and having mom complained about his collections to the point he had to built a makeshift flower racks so that there's enough space for three cars to park into the front (gated) yard that's just barely fits in those said three cars during the CNYs. Now after he passed away, she takes his place looking after those flowers. Sui-chan is lucky to have her dad around still collecting the flowers and having his wife scolding him.
I've been having health problems for a while now and I can assure you the thing that has helped me the most is gardening. Also I get of a bunch tomatoes and strawberries from it so it's kind of a productive thing.
