I was in Tanzania & Kenya with UNILEVER. On their garden I didn't find any Shade Trees because there weather is very pleasant. Hardly 24°C temperature and yield is much more than Assam gardens.

how are you supposed to make it simpler, I don't think he has time to discuss every little detail for people to understand and if you are interested in this field I believe you'd already know some terminologies...
Tea workers are most exploited class in whole of India....they are paid only Rs.167 a day....and most gardens don't even have proper medical facilities, schools etc.....and most women and children in tea garden are mal-nourished...shame on this people for treating the workers like slaves........

what makes their yield higher?
Basically shade tree is used to protect the tea bushes from ultraviolet rays and to maintain the leaf temperature
