I want to quit this year.
I am 16 years old, I have been driven by lust since I was just a kid (like 7-8 years old, I got introduced to corn by some friends any that age. I know, disgusting)
But now I am freaking done, I feel so disgusted and disappointed in myself, so I am taking this decision for my own good, but specially for my girlfriend, I want her to be with someone worthy of her, a man that really deserves someone as good as her, so if I want that, I have to flip the script and become that man.

I'm in the same boat, I'm 16 and was introduced to it in 5th grade. I go through theses waves of very strong lust where I feel great doing it but feel terrible after. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to fully quit this time or if I'll fail again.

Right there with Mario, only four days in and my life is so much better now. Whenever ya find yourself thinking "man this is definitely easier said than done"... instead tell yourself, it's all in your head. It's easier done than said, just fkn DO it! There are so many things you can be doing to help battle addictions making your life less hard in the first day to week it just takes commitment and common sense is all... instead of being obsessed with feeling good put your obsession into your health, you will shine and feel far better than you ever did before. Put in that grind day to day in the gym, brush your teeth 3-5 times a day (Crest 3D works perfect for white teeth IMHO) and eat what's considered healthy for your body type or one you wish to achieve. If you put in the work everyday for one year, you will see massive results people. I've been listening to dillon for only around five months and he is the reason I finally snapped out of my unhealthy and lazy lifestyle, if only he knew the impact he made on my life in under six months, crazy shit man. If you actually made it this far, whenever you're feeling low on energy or motivation, put your eyes back on that prize and if you truly want it you will grab it no matter what you got to do or how long it takes you.

The desire for true love and your own family will never disappear. Here is what you do if you want to be happy like me. 1)Put Jesus above all else. Even above yourself. Ask him in every relationship what the best move is. 2) You said you weren't lustful, but looking at that content is exactly that. She left, because she likely tried to tell you she viewed it as cheating and you failed to listen to her. Like all men. The Bible even said looking at another with lust, you have committed adultery. 3) You feel shame when using that content, and also compare her against those women. im 19, i used to have the same mentality of wanting a gf and getting attached to one girl, matter of fact it just happened last year. I get where youre coming from but i promise you if you just work on yourself the right girl will come along. Theres several girls that i crossed paths with that threw me off my path. I'm also 14 and don't have or want a girlfriend. In fact I have never gotten one in my life because since childhood I always thought that it was a waste of time to be involved in that kind of relationship. I always had a perception that it was weird and bad. Honestly even the thought of the possibility of having a girlfriend feels like I'm lowering my standards. I wish you could have a mindset like mine and it will help you focus on other important aspects of life such as your education and how achieve your goals

Kinda true actually, while I was VERY heavily bullied a lot for my weight (I’ve lost weight now) there were some girls who actually liked me. I had to idea why, the only positive trait I have is my personality. But that’s not the case for everyone, for every person who likes you for you there’s someone who’ll hate you. Perhaps the challenge is that attraction to others isn't going away, so it is going to be a part of our lives no matter what. However, attraction to others needs to be balanced so that it is not too consuming of a force. Finding the right balance of how much or how little of a role attraction to others plays in our lives is the key.
When you feel tempted pray 🙏 and read a few verses from the Bible this method helps me a lot 💪

started cold approaching (the first few tries were awkward, but it got easier)
joined a martial arts gym (built confidence and discipline)
read a book called Celestial Soulmate by Lentlish (full of practical dating advice that actually works)
improved my style (better clothes, better impression)
stopped wasting time on distractions like TikTok and focused on making money (affiliate marketing).

For me as a girl, you're like completely right! This is a self-esteem/insecurity issue.
Try giving yourself a new look (a good haircut is a nice mood boost). But the real work involves uncovering how you talk towards yourself and identifying limiting beliefs. Therapy & good friends are helpful for recognizing those. In a more practical sense, challenge yourself in small ways and progressively overload those challenges, to affirm a sense of consistency towards goals that you care about.
This comes from someone who never thought of themselves as attractive until college. Didn't start to feel better about my looks until I switched up my hair. But even then, I wasn't very successful with women because I felt extremely needy for a relationship to validate my self-worth.
TLDR: Mindset is everything. If you focus on improving it, while simultaneously working on practical ways to improve your looks (as long as they align with you) then you will eventually start to become more self-aware about your attractiveness.
