Stephane, Fanatastic videos. Note-for-note solo. THREE QUESTIONS: 1. What is the dot pick-up on the guitar? 2. Are you going through an amp (AER?) with both pick-up and clip mic? Is the sound we hear straight or has it been processed post production? I love the sound of your guitar tone. How can I acheive that, or must I buy the same model? Thanks!

Looks like one of the pickups (the round stick on) might be a Schertler. I guess the mic also picked up some sound. I always thought the Schertlers sounded too much like sound from a shower room. But I think that is counter-acted by the other mic. (disclaimer: just a guess)

I like the use of only the first two fingers just like Django
The first solo is pretty much the solo played by Django on the most famous recording of Minor Swing.

Yes and no. Harmonic minor is pretty common in western music, so...
But the phrygian... yep, ok. The influence is there, I just wanted to point out the other side of it.
