Havdalah is sooo beautiful. After i officially converted I made it an obligation to be apart of everything. Obv without Havdalah there is no separation. So as a Jew being at shul for the third meal, and making Havdalah is very important to me. The melody is simply amazing.
¡¡Hermoso!! ¡¡Qué bella manera de adorar a nuestro Creador!! No soy judía pero amo a Ha Kadosh Baruj Hu y amo lo que he estado aprendiendo de la Torah. Muchas gracias por compartir. Desde la Ciudad de México. Shalom!!!
Wow, this is by far the most amazing comment yet. Thank you so much for the kind words. We should have the merit of witnessing the Redemption with the coming of Moshiach, NOW! Amen!
Thank you so much for your beautiful singing. Would you mind also performing a Shabbat ceremony?I am so profoundly moved every havdalah when I listen to you and the ladies sing. Thank you, sincerely.
I have your precious family havdalah linked to my website so that everyone I know can see it and listen to it often, as I do!!! You and your families are bringing so much light into the world by sharing this video. Thank you so much!
My good friend, who is singing, has an Ashkenazi father and a Yemenite mother. He follows Ashkenazi Minhag, but he is Israeli, so he has more of a Sephardic pronunciation of the words. The song is a Carlebach tune. If you want to learn more about the meaning I recommend you to to askmoses.com
GRACIAS ES MUY BELLO, AMO MUCHO ESTA ADORACION AUNQUE NO LA ENTIENDO. EL CANTA MUY ESPIRITUAL Y CREO QUE ES LO BELLO. THANKS POR POSTING THIS SONG IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL EVEN DOUGH I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT'S SO SPIRITUAL THAT TOUCHES MY SOUL, THANK YOU SO MUCH.
It would be awesome if the singer could do an intructional vedio on the song for those who want to learn it like me. He sounds beautifull with alot of soul.
toda! I enjoy this video, it's very heart warming. My son loves it too. Do you have the lyrics for the first song? Thank you for helping bring jewish families together across time zones, countries and continents to connect spiritually over a commonly shared sacred mitzvot...
We can definitely pull that off. We'll have to wait until after the 3 weeks though. :-( Why did you guess the Heights? It was filmed in Bridgeport, CT, but one of the couples in the video was from the Heights. Interesting.
Hey my friend! Thansks for uploading this video! It's a beautiful Havdalah! As I'm on my path of learning about Judaism, I'm learning about the Shabbat and I wondered what Havdalah was and how it's performed. So it's great to see how it's done! It's nice to see other young people so dedicated to their religion and observance. I was just wondering if your style is more of that of a Sephardic tradition?
@dazizl Ahhh, okay. A simple video of her playing it with the camera focused on her would be nice! Perhaps you could do this next motzei Shabbos ;). PS Was this filmed in the Heights?
Interesting. U do the sephardic first part and then add the chorus by debbie Friedman who was ashkenazi, reformed and a lesbian with a woman singing in front of males and u r dressed ultra orthodox
