Hi. I'm "Gio Palermo", also known as "legorocks99" ("legorocks99Gaming", "LR99Gaming", or "LR99"). I post video game commentaries on TH-cam revolving around "hockey", with a primary focus on "Vancouver Canucks", "Montreal Canadiens", "Detroit Red Wings", and top "NHL prospects" topics. These videos are uploaded with "NHL 24" gameplay in the background. I enjoy making these videos and I hope that you enjoy watching them!

Going through Red Wings withdrawals. Can't wait for October.
I think the idea of taking your time with player development and forcing prospects to kick down the door goes back to the arrival of Scotty Bowman in the mid '90s. Scotty was very much an old hand from the Montreal system of yore, when the Habs were a juggernaut and had the world's most envied farm system. IMO, that method of player development remains largely correct and well-informed, but the Wings are now up against its limits. Some difficult decisions must be made about which young players to promote and which to trade, though I'm certain Yzerman is well aware of this. I think the main question is whether he prioritizes a trade at defense or goaltending.
I agree, imo if Yzerman makes a move it will be on the blue line. He understands that you dont necessarily need an elite goalie to win. Just a good one, a little above average. You do need a really good top 4 defensive pairings.
I gotta believe there are some trades Steve would love to make, finding another GM to agree with those trades is the problem.
I was literally just thinking about an update on the Wings then found this from 3 hours ago. Nice!
Keep them coming Lego. better than nothing
If they get rid of Lyon I'm going to cry
Is that even a question?? It shouldn’t be.
While it's a decent argument to say that having an extra goalie on the roster takes a spot a kid can use, I would argue that I'd rather have a third goalie on the roster than a kid sitting in the press box. That said, three goalies is quite unsustainable, and I hope the plan is to trade or waive one of them as the season goes on.
I thought Hakan anderson was redwings top euro scouting. didnt know it was kronwall now, and what happened to jiri fischer he was always helping with prospects
Kronwall is development, not scouting
Fischer's development in GR i believe
I'm wondering if they got Campbell in to be able to bring Cossa up to the 3rd spot on the Red Wings team. Otherwise I see Husso, Lyon and Talbot as the 3 in the NHL. Shame about Husso hamstringing them. I'd love to see Lyon, Talbot and Cossa as the top 3 guys.
Great vid as always!
P.S. - The 'P' in Campbell is silent.
Let's wait and see who stays healthy!
Husso needs to go
They should have bought his contract out when they had the opportunity
I'm hoping Detroit gets a top 4 D like Andersson. The trade could include Husso and look something like this.
To DET: TO CGY:
Andersson Husso (50% retained)
William Wallinder
DET 1st round
DET 3rd round
I think Detroit would have to add more to get Calgary to accept the deal.
Still planning on doing year in review with ASP?
Khaaaaaan!!!
Got to believe that Husso will be dealt and wings will eat some salary. Got to hope Husso plays great early season…
They can rotate Husso with a younger tender, if not dump Husso (even though I did like him at one time)
i'm thinking a lyon and matta, trade coming soon....husso, gone after this year...so u have talbot plus cossa tandem,,next yr
matta aint going anywhere, they love his numbers.
I really like Lyon, he was great for us last season.
@@jenn1388fr. Hes only 900k and hes signed for another year yet.
Neither needs to go
NO MORE GOALIES!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah signing Cam Talbot made very little sense.
I don't get Detroit period. 10 year rebuild and no show at all.
In my mind the rebuild really began when Yzerman returned as GM in 2019. The team has improved every year since then, and the cupboards are now stocked with prospects. There were some questionable signings and draft picks at the end of Holland's tenure that have set the team back (Zadina, Cholowski, Svechnikov) but the important thing is that they're moving in the right direction now.
