OCD can feel like a train off the tracks. Meditation helps me a lot, but even then the train is off the tracks. It has lessened a lot though learning to observe it without shame. A mindfulness book called 30 Days to Stop Obsessing by Harper Daniels helped a lot as well as the Tao Te Ching.
