They don’t even look neglected 😭. I really need to get cleaning, I have been putting it off because I’ve just been down. But I need to get it together and clean. The trash is picked up tomorrow, so I need to get that motivation in soon😭🤣

@@elenasoto5026 we actually like the functionality in here… otherwise there isn’t a great place to dry off from showers since there is hard wood everywhere, and it makes it more cozy. But sometime we might find one that fits the space better. For now we just used the one we had 💗
When I was a young bride a lovely woman in the laundromat saw me struggle with a fitted sheet and taught me how to fold it. I hope she remembered how grateful I was and still am. I use the Kiss nails, too. So easy and pretty and now they're priced better than ever!

I watch you quite often and listen along as I clean my home. As a mom of 5, 2 in Sports and the oldest being a Senior and working also, our days are very very hectic for the most part and it always feels never ending. But as we prepare for my oldest to go off to College next Fall, I know I'll miss the messes someday. ❤️
I just started vacuuming everything in the bathroom before cleaning with any rags or product. It is so helpful! I got all the hair, plant parts, fuzzies and dust. It was faster than running the water to get them down the drain.

I love your enthusiasm! And your reminders to us that "you're not alone". I moved 11 months ago and I still have things in boxes and are still organizing our garage. I find doing just a few tasks each day helps tremendously. For me, whenever I get too far behind, that's when things get bad and out of hand and I feel too overwhelmed to clean. Since I moved it has motivated me to keep things clean and organized as much as possible.
Currently doing a deep clean of my house. Every weekend I’m deep cleaning 2 rooms. Moving furniture, getting under beds, throwing away so much junk!! All while doing maintenance cleaning in the other rooms. Hoping to have the whole house done by Thanksgiving. Been slow vacuuming during the deep clean too and then shampooing the rugs!! So satisfying when a room is done!!
that's a great motto "there is no mess that is too big to come back from"! sometimes things get so overwhelming it's hard to remember, we can improve things!!!

I learned to fold a fitted sheet when my mom and I watched Martha Stewart Living back in the day😂 Also, I totally feel you with wanting to keep countertops minimal. It is super aggravating to have to move 500 things just to wipe a surface!

I love the fact that your so open about the real life moments. You did a good job love your bathroom. I been using grove collaboration for about 4 months and I love the products. My daughter loves them as well when I’m at work she cleans the house. She even said she wants a grove box when she is older. Well for Christmas Lol but in the mean time I will share mine.

So appreciate you showing your shower and the cleaning of it. Not long ago I realized just how bad mine had gotten and couldn’t help but think, “how did I not see all of this mess?”. Thank you for all the cleaning ideas - I definitely will put a lot of them in use.
Those real life moments hit us all!! It’s so funny to me that people think folding a fitted sheet is so hard…my mom taught me how when I was probably 10-11 years old lol so I grew up knowing how!! I enjoy your videos so much and all the content you put out!
My mother taught me to wash my bed sheets immediately and put them back on with no need to fold them.
Thanks for making it real. I loved how clean the mirrors were when you were done. So will definately be looking for those cloths. I have learned how to fold fitted sheets but it still is a struggle at times to get them to fold right. I do have a tip for you, use a pillow case that goes with the sheets to put the sheets inside so you don't lose the pillow case if you don't have a bag to put them into.
Oh yes! I used to do that with my sheets before having a just bag for them! It works so great!! And so happy you enjoyed the real life moment! As for the ecloths, you won’t regret it! They’re amazing!!

Just moved overseas for military and we are still waiting on our furniture. Your videos are SAVING me. Yep, it was satisfying seeing the shower getting cleaned. It's one of my least favorite areas of the house to clean so we let it go as well and then end up having to use a lot of elbow grease to get it all back to normal. Our shower in the master bath is HUGE with a whole wall of floor to ceiling glass so it gets hard water stains very easily (we need a water softener). Thanks for sharing your motivating videos! Love seeing those real life moments and the way you tackle them with such satisfying results.

The real life moments I can totally understand. It also helps me to know not everyone's house it "perfect". Also, we tried the crockpot recipe you share recently and loved it. My kids are very picky eats & they loved it. My son who doesn't usually eat meat ate ever bit & asked for more. Thank you so much for sharing. We definitely added it to our dinner options.
I learned how to fold a fitted sheet from my mother-in-law, she worked in the laundry room at a hospital.
Since there's so many of you, some thing that might help is putting your sets of sheets in one pillowcases that way you have everything all together and don't have to go digging for the complete set.
I do daily maintenance in my bathroom, makes the weekly cleaning go much faster. I hope the boys help you with upkeep of their bathrooms.

You are right trying to do a thorough cleaning in one day is overwhelming!! I cleaned my closet this morning and decided I would do a thorough clean in one area each day. I live alone so is easy for me to do this, at least having some sort of schedule there’s time if I need to run errands. It’s so good coming home to a clean home.

Also, lovetheidea of putting a rug in the closet, makes it feel cozier and more like a living space, which a walk-in closet definitely is - growing up, I think I probably spent more time in my closet than my actual bedroom! 😆
I am a pro at folding fitted sheets!!!! A roommate taught me about 30 years ago!!! They look so neat and tidy in the linen closet when they're folded properly! 👍
SAME! My aunt taught me, almost 50 years ago. She'd say ... 'You didn't buy it looking all balled up. And how can you keep your cupboard organized with sheet balls in it' LOL.

I am finally getting my strength back and today cleaned my laundry room and pantry.. they were turned upside down by hubby when I was in the hospital.. but it's all good..love your videos..

I do know how to fold a fitted sheet, but I recently decluttered and we only have 1 set of sheets per bed (no need to fold now 😂). My kids are 14, 15, & 20 so no need to worry about accidents of any kind. I too let some things go way to long and become frustrated with myself… give yourself Grace, we are more than house cleaners and keeping up with maintenance items along with kids & life is still a great amount of work. Love watching your videos and listening to your sweet & mindful comments. I have certainly been working on this for myself too ☺️
I appreciate you not hiding the real life parts of your house. There's always those areas and it's real life. I keep our home pretty clean and deep clean a few times a week but no matter how much I keep up with it, I always come across areas that I forget about that get out of hand and it makes me wonder what else I've forgotten about 🤣❤

Hello Amanda! It’s been another week that I repeatedly am watching your videos (like 15 times now) while folding laundry & rearranging clothes in my bedroom. There’s not quite a storage space. I needed to also need to do fall season cleaning coz it’s feels like winter is starting now at Chicago. 🥶 Winter clothes are coming out earlier this year.
My satisfaction is doing deep cleaning every week especially for the bathroom. I really am having a hard time cleaning those water stains. I really have a hard time brushing the grouts especially with my disability. However, bathroom, for me, is really one of those areas that I love to deep clean along with the kitchen every week. Next to it is the bedroom which I would dust & wipe clean everyday as well & deep clean once a week but on a different day when doing the kitchen & bathroom deep clean. I guess when you have a weekly routine on cleaning it’s something that you look forward on deep cleaning. However, when life happens, I would interchange days & schedule so as not to overwhelm myself like you said when it’s a lot to clean.
I wish I would know when is a big slash sale on e-cloths. I know it’s quite pricy for someone like me who’s struggling with finances but cleaning is really my stress relief. I’d like to conserve more of my energy & not strain what is left of my neck & hand functions as well as my knees when I am close to needing both of my knees & left elbow replacement. It’s hard to do spraying & then wiping to make sure everything is clean &sanitized unlike with e-cloth mops & microfiber cloths that you just add water.
I also am doing like the daily to go to cleaning stuff that I used for cleaning are the Grove Collaborative - Mrs. Meyers Baking Soda Cream, Dish Soap, Multipurpose Spray in either Lemon Verbana or Lavander & I found it way cheaper for me to buy it at either Walmart or Target as I cannot maintain the subscription. For my weekly deep clean, I’d use the Pink Stuff Cream, Bathroom Cleaner& Multipurpose cleaner in the bathroom along with the Scrub Daddy (Yellow scrubber) & the Scrub Mommy double sided sponge or the Scrub Daddy white scrub & use the Pink Stuff paste in the tub for cleaning the stove & oven and all the other Pink Stuff cleaner for my Kitchen Deep Clean. The Pink Stuff paste (tub) is great using with the Scrub Daddy to clean the oil stains on the sides of the pots & pans that has oil stains on the side & heat stains at the bottom. In the beginning, there would be some elbow grease but like in 2 to 3 deep cleaning of pots & pans, it all goes away. Then daily cleaning transition is gonna be easier & will be smooth. I have read that life of the pots & pans we use (the brand) are better when we hand wash them. They are ok with dishwasher cleaning but to prolong their life & guarantee of better & longer performance, hand washing them is much more efficient.
I also love doing the slow vacuuming. I’d do a quick vacuuming in the beginning then I’d do the slow vacuuming along with putting a backing soda soak on the carpeted area for Atleast 15 minutes before I do the slow vacuum. I’d also clean my vacuum rollers & collection bin every week. What a satisfying feeling as well when you clean those. Then when everything is dry, I’d add a Lavander Ever Spring oil in Lavander & my room really smells great. The bedroom transforms into a great sleeping haven! 🥱😴
I do laundry every week. What would you suggest for a cost - friendly laundry detergent or pods that you use? I use the Molly Suds (yellow packaging) for my whites plus oxiclean clothes sanitizer powder & use the Downy laundry booster & fabric conditioner (Calm/Lavander) to soften the clothes. I shifted to Ariel with Downy laundry powder plus the oxiclean clothes sanitizer powder & came back to the Downy pink fabric conditioner. I feel that there’s something lacking but due to financial constraints, I have to buy something that will clean my clothes pretty well & would help my clothes to be soft & smooth as well because of skin eczema.

When I was 15 I left school I worked in a department store in the homewares department. Customers would frequently take the fitted sheets out of the packets and I’d have to get them back in. So I quickly learnt how to fold them. Thanks for the deep clean motivation 💞
I'm so glad to see my unused tub isn't the only one to collect dust and hair! And yes! The shower was satisfying! Ours gets like that pretty quickly thanks to the high iron content in our water :/ Mr. Clean magic erasers are fabulous in there for maintenance. Glad I found your channel!
Absolutely no judgment! Everyone has a part in their house they always neglect and rarely clean. Your cleaning methods are Avery different from what I’m used to which made me uncomfortable😂but it was also interesting to see the way you clean things. I find it reassuring that sometimes your shower gets like that. Mine gets like that sometimes and I beat myself up about it. It’s nice to see real life. And it is so much more satisfying to see a dirty shower get cleaned!

Im such a clean freak. Im really cleaning throughout my house and taking mini breaks to watch you clean your house lol...Its so soothing 😊... I use the kiss nails also sometimes. They are definitely good for when you need something done to your nails asap and you dont have to worry about the long removal of acrylic or gel nails all the time.

I've seen worst in my shower😉. I had a grandmother who was a housekeeper for a family for 35 years. She taught us how to fold fitted sheets, towels and shirts, for which I am glad. Love your videos.

I had a tile shower in my home in GA. I hated it. It always look dirty in the grout lines. I have moved since then and I have a white fiberglass shower which is easy to clean and it looks brand new since I bought my home 6 years ago. I don't like tile at all. I deep clean my house every 6 weeks. All drawers, closets and move all my furniture. And wash all windows inside and out. I am 67 years old. Been doing this since I have been married in my 20's. My home is 2200 square feet. I once had a 5000 square foot home and I did the same. I love a clean and well organized home inside and out. You are doing great with your new home.

Tubs and showers are the worst to clean and man yours is huge. You are definitely not alone whether we like to admit it or not. I do know how to fold a fitted sheet, but I tend to wash and put them right back on. I can’t go fancy with my bedding as my husband works opposite of me, so one gets out and one gets in. I get a little jealous of the bedding decor these days. As always, you are a joy to watch.

My mom taught me years ago (well maybe I just watched her a lot 🤪) how to fold a fitted sheet. I just taught my 60 year old sister in law this summer. Mom also showed me hospital corners when making up a bed!
Hello Amanda, usually what I use to clean my shower which I dread doing LOL is in a spray bottle that I got from Walmart and poured half a cup of Dawn dish soap and 4 tbsp of Citric acid and the rest of water. I spray it and make sure its coated evenly and let it sit for 20 min depending on how stuck the soap is. It works well !
You did a fantastic job on the shower!! I have let mine go like that before and it is such a wonderful feeling to get that done. Your house is beautiful♥️♥️

Another benefit I've found of the slow vacuum is that it has more time to pull the carpet...strands, what do you call them (lol), upright. Makes your carpet softer and less matted down. Thanks for teaching us!
I have been tackling some problem areas too! Thanks for being real and honest with us. We all have to shuffle responsibilities in our lives when things happen unexpectedly.
Girl - my shower is SO BAD. There's 2 boys that use it as well. So I got that dish sponge that's connected to the dish soap holder thing. I fill it with cleaner and I bought a really pretty holder for it to suction cup to the wall and now everytime someone takes a shower, they spot clean 1 area with the scrubbie sponge. It's not perfect, but man! After so many years of being resentful of my kids not cleaning it LOL.... Not sure why it took me so long to realize I was in the shower already with the water on ... maybe I should do something constructive instead of hiding from the cats. But I LOVE seeing a clean shower and yours is so pretty! You are such an inspiration to so many people.

Maybe the ones I watch are really kept that clean all the time. But that's not me. So I need to see it all. Haha!! Those were from when I was sick a few weeks ago and Kyle went out to get me crackers… but they were too “heavy” so they somehow ended up in the closet 🤣🤣
We have a tub also that rarely gets used, the way I keep it dust free: I have a nice cup (as decoration) next to it that I rinse the tube out one a week. I don’t need to use soap because it’s just dust and then I wipe it dry and it helps so it always looks clean. 💕

Shower: Been there… keep spray bottle if full strength vinegar in shower and spray area that stains. Having it in shower you will tend to use more often.
Soft Scrub is good cleaner that will get rid of stains with little or no scrubbing. Give it a try.

Love a good bathroom deep clean! We've heard such good things about the e cloths...really need to try them out. Seems like they do a really good job, especially on the mirrors and glass

Using a squeegee on the shower walls, seat, glass and even walls and then spraying the shower down with bleach a few times a week will help reduce any build up of mildew or mold! Ex maid here and we worked with alot of showers that were tiled or had stones and it was a life saver!
Loved the deep clean, esp shower. I like that you use Dawn power wash for things other than kitchen. It's great! Love watching and getting motivation.
