nice video, i only think you missed a few important points: 1. always make sure there are knots in both ends of the rope. rappelling of the ends of a rope is one of the leading cases in rappel accidents. 2. when you reach the bottom you should get the rope out of the rappel device as quickly as possible. the heat build up in they device is enough to burn the sheath off the rope. 3. not a really important thing but if you don't want to leave any any gear behind you could take a look at rappelling with a so called "tagline" this way you don't only leave no traces but also can use they full length off your rope.

But then you still have to use accessory cord on the tree, if you want to get rid of the friction of the ground and bark.
