Surprised to see that this was published 6 years back and frankly dont understand why there are very less videos on Market structure..Reason could be the unavailability of free indicators.. This was exactly the time when i started learning about markets...Till today i feel like Market Profile is ignored by retail traders...I maybe wrong
Thanks for your comment. Yes your assessment could be right. But, I do feel this is changing. Apart from the overly priced indicators and fancy software's for market profile, some cheaper alternatives have come up. This could bring in more and more users towards this.

Hi Macie Mac, I assume this question is for me and not Chetan. For day trading, this IB concept or Value area concept is of great help. You need to ensure that stock has not gaped up too much w.r.t previous day's profile. If you see a stock gaping up (less than 1%) above VA of 3-4 previous profiles with a confirmed IB outside previous profiles range and a strong 30 min close, then you could attempt to day trade it. Quantum of gap up would be crucial here. There has to be some juice left for one to day trade.

You won’t get that option in Demat. Check trading view charts. They have some features listed in Pro version. Or else get Ninjatrader or Market delta software.

I don't like to approach it this way. Once you begin stereotyping what market may do, you generally tend to miss out on opportunities. The only time I will consider "Time bound" approach is when a strategy demand it. Else, I am open to trading any time during the day. With Weekly options, lot of these assumptions will change with time. Just my personal view and I may be wrong.

In comparison to 60's & 70's, we already have AI today which should have disrupted how Markets functioned. But for someone trading in 70's, 80's or even 90's, Market has not changed much. Only thing that has changed is ease of access to Markets. Coming to your query, AI will never conquer markets in my opinion. Had this been true, we would have seen impact of same till now. Even if I consider AI conquering this aspect, a good trader will always find ways to adapt.
Hi Laxmikant, Dedicated books for Order flow and Volume Profile are almost non existent. The one's which are out there are very basic in nature. For Market Profile, read everything written by James Dalton. You can use the same concepts in Volume Profile as well. Hope this helps.

It depends on Visual adjustment.
For Nifty I use 12 and for Bank Nifty I use 40.
Try between 0.1 - 0.3% of Price. This will work in all cases.
