this makes me feel like im walking down a field of flowers of all the colors possible, looking up at the sky seeing birds fly around with joy, looking down, and seeing my grandmas house full of my family as I run down to play with my cousins and talk to my family.
POV time because i'm in the mood (please read this it actually looks pretty good. yes it's long, but i like it a lot and i'm genuinely proud of this lol) You found yourself at a masquerade ball. Not a single person there was identifiable, so you stayed to yourself sitting at a table. The song began and you were approached by a tall, slender man in a suit. His eyes matched with yours as he bowed and extended his hand to you. He pulled you slightly from your seat as you took it and you fell into him. Holding his arm, still locking eyes, you glided to the middle of the room where you waited in a ballroom dancing position. You bow to one another, fall back into position, and begin dancing as the song begins (1:14-1:15 ish). It begins as a simple three count box waltz to the beat of the music. His eyes are an odd shade of dark grey that is foreign to you. As time goes on (1:44), your dances begin to become more complex. He would twirl you around and push you out and pull you back in. Only occasionally though. As this went on, the others pairs around you began to fade into silver and grey mist (2:11), almost matching his eyes. It was only then that you broke the gaze between you and your partner. The music was now louder in your mind with a slight unexpected, yet entrancing echo. The man dancing with you reached for your jaw, pulling your eyes back to his (2:23). He gently shushed you in an attempt to reassure you that nothing was wrong. You exhaled, relaxing your tense body and falling into the dance, looking back into his eyes. After a bit, the ground and the whole room faded around you aswell (2:38). You noticed, but didn't break your concentration on your mysterious partners eyes. It felt as if you were floating while dancing. Floating through the beautiful, foreign sky that you once called a ballroom. It was all grey. Occasionally, you would catch a glimpse of something, presumably glass or glitter, shining in your peripherals. This continued on as the man holding you gently whispered sweet nothings to you. "You dance better than anyone I've met... You're the most beautiful person I know... There is no need to have fear, you're safe with me." The ground returned, but only where you felt you stepped. It would be nothing, then it would be solid and visible each time you stepped down. This you knew from feeling your feet hit the marble each time you stepped down. The music slowed, all instruments played at the same time (3:33). He pushed you out, holding onto one of your hands. He pulled you back in and spun you around. Finally (3:43), he lifted you, one hand on each hip, straight up. He continued spinning throughout the few seconds you were in the air. You inhaled through your nose. The air that entered your lungs was cold and refreshing, unlike the air that was surrounding you which was warm and comforting. You were set down by your partner (3:54) and your dance continued, returning to your three count box dance with an occasional twirl. The song slowed and changed (4:10), as did your dances. You leaned the side of your head onto his chest and rather than picking up your dance speed when the music sped up again (4:21), he hugged you and slowly spun. In your mind, the song slowed and faded out of existence just like the world around you. Your dance partner let go of you and you stood apart from him. The both of you bowed and as you bowed, you closed your eyes. As you opened them, you were no longer in this mysterious ballroom with a secret partner infront of you. You were simply in your bed, covered and tucked in by your beautiful, dark grey bedspread. One thought ran through your head, and only one. _Forbidden... Love_
As the rain began to pour, I opened my window to let in the peaceful sounds of the harshest rain I have ever witnessed. Smiling, I opened my closet to search for my favorite dress. Fitting it over my body, I felt my heart swell with excitement for the night my lover and I were about to experience. I rested for a moment to admire the black ballgown before reaching down to make sure my knife was in its garter just right. Tucking away the matches in the sweetheart neckline of my dress, I exited my room to see my partner waiting for me at the bottom of the long stairs that led to the ballroom. A smile and a nod were shared between us before I descended, my partner escorting me to the dancefloor. "Shall we dance, my love?" "Of course, dear," I smiled as we began to dance among the outskirts of the crowd, secretly spilling gasoline among the walls and buffet tables. As the orchestra crescendoed, I paused to light a match and ignite the end of the tablecloth before returning to my partner's arms. Elegantly, we danced among the flames whilst flights of aristocrats rushed to the locked and bolted doors. There was only one way in and out of this castle, and we knew it well. Flames now completely engulfed the room. The screams of the burning hypocrites was our song, our love the burning passion that fried them. "Good riddance," My partner sighed. "Good riddance indeed," I smile before melting into our final kiss.
