- Sent to us for reconditioning, this TMNT was blessed with a brand new playfield already. But missing many parts during that transfer, the TNT staff did their miracles on it! PLUS--LOTS of additions!!!

Awasome!!! I can´t belive they still exist, When I was abut 13, years old, used to spend houres playing pinballs at game rooms ...the used to rush to my house and , started to build some replicas, using what I encounter at hand...
LOL that ending was fun, really enjoy seeing these old pinball machines.
The old table look in bad conditions but with the new table and the new aditions to the playfield make the game awesome!

The entire gang at TNT are just amazing. What a job on a pinball machine which as Todd said "was in nice shape to begin with". This is why it is worth every penny to send your cabinets to this team. Wow!

Wow that’s a nice looking ninja turtle pinball. I played a ninja turtle pin at an expo and it was really fun and I also got to play a robocop pinball.
One thing that Data East pinball machines all had in common was that the background music was, typically, very up tempo and exciting. The exception being Laser War; that machine's music was terrible.
Actually, I thought Laser Wars was an exceptional pinball with that closing music track..."Return to base...return to base--you're fighting a Laser War..."
nice work on the game. I also love the use of adding extra figures of Casey Jones, April O'Neil, and Krang (which is interesting since Krang's the second thing that's relevant to the cartoon aside from the theme song that's used in the start of Multiball and at the end of the game). The one thing that is also a big deal for TMNT collectors is that the game is mostly modeled after the 1990 movie which is based on the original comic books from 1984 (which are notable for being rather gritty like Frank Miller's version of Batman, as well as the 1988 novel Batman: The Killing Joke).
Finally, since the game was released 2 months after TMNT II: The Secret of the Ooze, Data East chose to toss in a reference to Vanilla Ice's Ninja Rap in the attract mode.
The figures were on the machine e (or loose and fallen off) when we received it...but they were definitely a good idea!

This is a really colorful game. Of all the TNT video I have seen I have never seen a sega's Daytona USA video. Do you every get any that pass through? Seems like they made a boat load of them and was a pretty popular game.
Yes...we sold a pair about 3 years ago...we have a Daytona 2 in our showroom awaiting a sale. Will make a video once someone buys it!

Hey Todd, I love your videos. I'm getting pretty close to hitting all 700+. Unrelated question, where do you get your casters for upright machines? I'm restoring a ms PAC and you inspired me to put on some new used casters, but I can only find them on ebay and they seem kinda expensive.
Home depot sells them...but cheapest place is Competitive Products in Tullytown PA, Also try Steve Young Pinball Resource and Marco Specialties! Also know as leg levelers.
Great job guys. Lovin your vids, keep em coming! Tried to see if you had a Black Hole video, hopefully that comes soon. Just a quick question for the turtles vid. Did you guys think of clear coating the playfield since you took everything off? Or is clear coating something we only do up here in Quebec?

Also I'm 14 and when my family moved from our old house my dad got 2 pinball machines the tmnt and the Scorcher from my grandparents when he first moved in to our old house so we could not put them in our new house basement since it's not finished so I beg him to keep them and he did so now I have to be the luckiest person to have not 1 but 2 pinball machines in my room

well paying attention to the (WOW) singer in the family is good too. a friendly reminder to vote per day is needed (hello TNT fans come on. she rocked at the end of his vids. especially the puck bowling :D "ever thought about having your own arcade game" I can't buy my own game yet but I'm willing to help out on this one :) against the odds but my uncle came in second in the late 80's on a band competition (lead guitar) female singer band. still have that music but think I'd rather if I found it upload it to Todd on an email ;) it's 80's ish with a hint of 70's. Shocked my uncle one day when I converted it to cd. with a bit of lightscribe (although label flash woulda been better. ) we have a book and music respect in the family (although I happen to like photography hence film) been thru this vote per day thing just gotta get into the habit of it which I'm getting there. Just helps when a response shows up or a video shows up. But whatever happens. never give up :)
Todd, are the metal things at the back of the playfield there to prevent the ball getting stuck behind the posts?
What's the word with Sea Wold 3 and you tv show?
yes...those U shaped metal pieces are there behind the white rubbers to the ball will not get lodged back there....if it was all posts, there would be less bounce. This allows the rubber to move back when its hit a bit and give more action! The new "sizzle reel preview" was seen ten more times on a link only given to Discovery Channel folks...which means it was viewed by more people there! But everything else is silent! Sea Wolf will happen when I have some "free" time!!

Hey Todd, if I was to replace the pizza spinner decal how do you suggest I remove the existing one on my machine!?
we use a razor blade and if you get it cleaned off enough, the new one can stick down using some of the existing residue glue from the old one.
Hey, thanks for the video! I'm from Germany and just recently bought a turtles machine. Could you please tell me what parts I can use to replace that crappy auto kicker? The coil alone won't do the trick, right?
Shrink21 You have to build up the shooter rod with an extra barrel spring...so it does not extend into the plunger and rub on the open hole on that kicker. Also put in a stronger coil...a 550
Great video gentlemen! Looking for a little advice. My husband has also has the 1991 Data East pinball machine and is rehabbing it. He has been talking about converting it to LED and i'd like to get him the kit for Christmas...I see a lot of forum's pointing toward Cointakers... Super LED's or Non-Ghosting? also the numbers 44 or 555 keep appearing regarding the 'Backbox'... Any advice/help to get the correct kit is greatly appreciated! also, it's missing the coin box, where does one purchase that item and are they generalized or specific to brand of machine? Thanks!
I would suggest COmet Pinball, Pinball Life, or Lights Out Pinball for your LED needs---that's all we use and find them the best quality and value! The computer controlled lights have to be non ghosting for best operation. We can probably match a coin box to your game but no lid itself...we sell them for $20 plus the shipping...you have to contact us directly.

My playfield has sockets for the right and left rails and the bumpers in front of the flippers. Thing is the light doesn't come on. Wiring looked ok (as far as I could tell, noob here) so I went back to the book. Apparently there are no lamps that are supposed to be in those positions. I see you have them lit though. Are these mods? Mine has wiring but no transistor per bulb. Would like them lit as the lower playfield is dark but looks like a daunting task. Unfourtunatly I live in Sweden, otherwise I'd call you guys :) Any opinion on my issue? Were the lampless originally?
+George C you have a burned out general illumination line...those run off of a fuse in the head. and usually the connectors burn up after all these years.

Yes...we did it to one game I remember, but it was years ago.

Yes...Frequently, pinball manufacturers simply buy existing toys in quantity and use them on their games so they do not have to design them for their games!
How come the video slot industry never came up with a TMNT video slot machine? If they did make a TMNT video slot machine, it would be based on the Turtles we all adults have grown up on, not the turtles who were based on the cartoon that was released on TV in 2003.
