They totally used the rescue descender WRONG ! That shinny hook on the top side of the descender is meant to thread the rope through it so as to add friction and apply braking manually. At one point you hear the stupid instructor ''told you not to hold the rope''. He's totally wrong. You should never allow the victim to go down without threading through the braking system. That's what gloves are meant for. To hold the rope and stop the system if need be. This training organisation is a shame
For a real rescue? Sure, no safety/back-up line. But, for training, I too, would have had a safety/back-up line with an ASAP (rope grab device)! I don't care for the automatic descent feature of the Milan, DeRope, or R550 devices.
@Catalin Radulea for training or drills, a backup / safety line would be taken with you. Also, after the training, you will replace the rescue device with a fresh sealed one for future emergencies. I commend the guys in the video for their effort, but would really like for them to step up their skills and safety before using a live casualty. On the Skylotec HUB, please use the pig's ear. On the SKED, there are some great resources on how to prep the sked to be more bullet proof when using it.
What ??? no life line for the victim ? This would never happen in Canada we have to protect the participants from a fall , SRL , Kermantle rope +Petzl ASAP etc....
I think using a human dummy for training is a better option rather than humans. 👍

I’m pretty sure the guy will not be returning to work with you all after that drop!!!! Lol
In USA we require a safety line attached to the SKED basket in case the main line fails.

Scary! This needs strong competence. Congratulations Enduforce Dr. Mona and Bhushan. All the best.
Knots was wrong tie and victim was not conected to rescue device carabine with energy absorber.
Wow! Eduforce is the first one to resque someone from such a height!

Suzlon wtg 2.1 Mw
My friend Vedant told me to visit this
Looks like a Suzlon.
a litany of mistakes here - surely they should have experimented with a rescue dummy instead of a potential fatality for this comical rescue?
