Due to a dispute with the developers and publisher, things arent looking good. Without the operating support, they might shutdown the whole project within the next month
brooo wtf ea
I think they did cause i keep getting error 400
Rip Boundary, this game had all the potential in the world bro
Yea, a part of me wants to believe they can make a comeback, but it's highly unlikely 😞
Definitely not "all the potential" but it could've been something if it was released years before.
Dang. I haven't even heard of this, but this looks like it could be amazing! Realistic space shooter in the semi-near future? Flying around in armored space suits? Gravity changing how weapons typically work? How could a team *not* be passionate enough to seek out the talent and resources to plan this coming true? Very unfortunate. Thanks for showing this.
Yea idk what was/is going on bts, but they definitely dropped the ball over the last year
I’m mad because I had this on my wishlist, waited, expected it to have matured into a nice game, and welp it’s dead.
It was always cool watching clips/videos you posted from Boundary, but hearing about the lack of communication/player base kept me from even trying it out. Always sucks when a cool idea isn't fully realized because of a lack of transparency/updates/balancing.
Great video man.
Yea it's apart of my love/hate relationship with indie games. Some execute very well while other dont
Played virtually every beta test and it was always a blast. though it most certainly took it's time to get released into EA, by that time i had already forgotten about it... When i came back to buy it i saw many negative reviews complaining about hackers and decided to wait it out and see what happens. Gotta say i'm kinda glad i didn't spend that 30 bucks on a virtually dead game, but i'm incredibly sad about the state that it's in because it was one of the very few games that actually tried something new that appeared to have worked well on the surface...
At launch the $30 was worth it, but yea as time went on it became harder to justify
same for me. I had to purchase motion sickness tabs to no-life the second closed test & Boundary was fun! Then it took a long time for any news, and by the time I took the initiative to look for updates the steam score told all.
People say it looked amazing, it “has potential”, but overwhelming majority of the players drop the game after a session. Easy to be wise after seeing the rapid downfall of this game, but all the way back when this game first enter public eyes on Chinese internet, I was asking myself: This looks cool, but who’s gonna play this? I think Boundary went to wrong direction from the start, unique gunplay and movement mechanics can be an attraction, not the entire selling point. Boundary’s basically just CoD in space, we can all agree that’s a cool concept but the entire concept can be explored after a match or two. After that for players it becomes just another arena shooter that has clunky mechanics, unsatisfying(in that it’s harder to hit people cause it’s space) gunplay, and no new ideas. It’s a weird situation, the game kinda got killed by its own sells pitch, its own unique idea, maybe this idea was meant to be just be for a CoD campaign mission, not to base an entire game on.
I disagree that it was killed by its own sales pitch, I feel like it could've thrived if explored more. Guess we'll have to wait until another game tries it's hand at the genre
good luck with school! i'm so sad this game died, even though i believe it can come back it's going to be hard to bring in as many players as there were at the beginning... such a fun fps
thanks 😊
and yea, I think they can get to around 5k players but some still consider that dead :/
A payload gamemode and ship battles would have been awesome
I watched Tomographic play this and thought it looked sick. finding out its not happening was sad i never got to try it.
@nasty5634 yea alot of disappointment came from the announcement :(
good shit milky
Appreciate that 😁
Makes me miss Shattered Horizon even more
Never had a chance to play Shattered Horizon but I hear good things about it all the time :/
Small studio vs big studio that produce content for 3 month vs long months. It quite big different on small team. We are impatient but we will get stress out. So we get burn out for stay in the game. Just like Palword it not easy job to release content.
While I agree there is a difference between a big dev team and a small one, I would argue that is more the reason to have better communication with the community. Being radio silent for months gets seen as being ignored after a certain matter of time
@@Milkyv5 Well there is pros and cons to them as well talking to committee. One is that they are code developer and other is hiring a people to talk to user cost money. Or developer talk to player is not easy task if one slip up in their wording or different languages region it would cause trouble. Just like Hytale they are coder not easy to blog to users. Since they have NDA they can't speak. If you been working on the game with same words on update. It come down to management and cost. Just thinking. Plus with the NDA if words leak to developers it would ruin the work. If they features or content is not stable to release to players to enjoy.
@@darknetworld I get not wanting anything to get leaked, but there are already people in place to deliver the new information. Also if something did get leaked, I wouldn't say it would 100% ruin things as the leak could see how players are feeling about what's being worked on
3:28 Off the topic, but that's not how gravity works.
Some creative liberties were taken lol
I'm getting major Shattered horizon vibes. I loved that game 10 years ago and it was kinda big when it came out, and sure enough, about a year later it was basically dead.
Yea its been compared to Shattered Horizons a lot, would love to try it out but might be too much work to get a server and ppl to play it
Didn't even know it was out...
Yea it came out on Early Access with a 6-12 month timeline, but no update for Full release so we are in limbo atm
The Anthem faith. So sad because I loved this game and played a lot during the first 2 months, then you got all the Chinese players flooding US lobbies and hackers almost every match. So I gave up on it. I’ve heard they did implemented region lock later on, but the game died
ayo who dat cute guy 🤭🤭 Great video!
Aye, appreciate that. Look forward to matching up in Boundary if it ever releases
They made a really complex movement system and forgot to make the game it goes In
in a way, yea lol
You can't even buy the game. This looks awesome, what the heck?!
@HaloWolf102 Yea shortly after I put this video out, the publishers and developers blamed each other for things and announced the shut down of the game. It's a shame things turned out this way really, had alot of promise
Star citizen does a better job at boundary 😂
Boundary officially dead.
Real shame.
