Truly enjoyed meeting and fishing with you this week Don! Folks, Don is a wealth of knowledge and he finds great pleasure in visiting with and helping other anglers to learn. We had a great time being on the water with you Sir!!
Dons right, pout bombs will catch them right in the mouth if you fish them correctly. Pout bombs or the buzz bombs work well also if they’re liking a faster fall rate. Enjoy the green chili don! See ya next year
Thanks for another great video. I just got my first real fishing boat and am excited to take it up to the Gorge. When do you switch from jigging the Pout Bombs to casting or trolling the glide baits? Based on your videos I have purchased both lures, but I don’t think I’ll get up there until mid December. Also do you use a swivel with the Pout B? Thanks again for the instructions in your videos. Super helpful for a newbie like myself.
I usually switch to glide baits sometime in early December. No, I don't use a swivel with the pout bomb. I just use a split ring. Thanks for watching and good luck with your new boat.
Hey Don, I'm up here fishing this week as well. I watch your videos, and enjoy your work. I enjoyed today's episode. I went into town this afternoon looking for pout bombs. Any idea where I can find any for sale. I've struggled hooking up. Thanks.
If you want the larger lake trout, just go into the back of Lucerne and look for the boats circling each other. The area is about mid way from the south cliffs and the north shore. you are looking for 55 to 80 feet of water. Then, remember to "finesse" the bites with your pout bombs. And then, be patient.. This weekend, fishing opens between 7:06 to 7:12, Just look at "normal" sunrise and subtract 10 minutes for being in Daggett County. the same is true for sunset, around 5:00 and change. Good Luck!
Not necessarily. The white boat with the tow guys, yes, but they have smaller treble hooks and don't to too much damage. The folks in the bass boat don't purposely snag. They are very good anglers. I try not to be hard on any of them because in all candor, I truly believe they don't know there is a better way to catch these fish on the spawn. The pout bombs are there in the store. Go to the back room, turn to the right and go to the front corner by the locked door. They are on the top two displays in all the best colors.

Jason, Thanks for the green chiles and the kind words. I'm glad you got home ok, with all the storms in your path.

Awesome video! Might give it a shot this weekend. Any tips for types of areas to look for this time of year?

@doafish Thanks for the info! May see you out there. Probably launching out of Antelope Flats
@doafish Is it a morning and evening bite? Or all day typically?
@@BritzFishing I may be out there tomorrow but with the little storm coming in, I may just sit it out. Good Luck!!
Are the other 3 boats snagging them or catching them in the mouth
