    I just ordered my DJM V10LF and happy to not see a XFader anymore! I'm a TechHouse Minimal DJ and I never found a Use for a XFader and I don't like scratching, so thanks Pioneer for this Opportunity

    I consider myself super lucky to own a V10 and a pair of 3000’s. This gear is absolutely brilliant and the (sound) quality is superb and the possibilities of the V10 are seemingly endless. Not a single day goes by without spinning a few tracks. Expensive? Yes. But, worth every single penny!

    I have a V10 it seems to me that the LF version is made to give an alternative to fans of Xone mixers and in particular the Model 1. I find the version with fader 45 (faster) more comfortable and already excellent in the set.up curves. The cross-fader besides being necessary for pure scratch allows super quick changes and combined with the send effects on channels type 5-6 you can create particular sounds. Pioneer choice that I don't understand and think it's a nice alternative but it doesn't change the life of the DJ. The space on the LF could fit + 60mm long and still less complete mixer than the V10. Carlo ITALY

    All of this real estate, and yet they still can't be bothered to offer to ability to put a HPF on one channel and a LPF on another channel. It's 2020!!!

    • @RaquelFoster
      @RaquelFoster 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you saying they should add a 10th knob to each channel for LPF, or do you want them to keep it like the DJM-900 with a single super-sensitive knob which does both?
      I thought it was weird at first, but now I'm glad they did it the way they did. How often do you use LPF? I miss the white noise effect more than I miss the ability to do HPF and LPF at the same time. Besides, you can use the Beat FX Filter if you want to do both.

    • @ericburgos
      @ericburgos 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RaquelFoster I know you didn't ask me, but as someone who's gone from Xone 92 to Xone 96 to Formula Sound FF6.2L, I use the low pass filter a lot. I"ll never understand why people don't use it more.

    • @RaquelFoster
      @RaquelFoster 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ericburgos I'm certainly not saying I know more than anybody. I'm just curious what people like about the LPF. I never heard anybody complaining about the filter on the DJM-2000, and the V10 just took the Filter and Built-In FX layout from the DJM-2000. If I want the bass from a track I'll EQ out everything but the bass. Everybody uses HPF and the resonance of the filter is something I'm used to hearing, but nobody wants resonance on the LPF. Look at the Model 1. It has a HPF/LPF instead of having high/low EQs, but it only has resonance on the HPF. The LPF seems redundant with the EQ ... unless you want a single knob to quickly cut the high/mid, but that doesn't feel as important as being able to quickly take the kick out and bring it back in with the HPF.
      That's just where I'm coming from and I'm curious what I'm missing. I've had a DJM-900nexus for a long time and I got used to leaving all the filters at about 1-o'clock and just using the Filter button to turn all the HPFs on/off. That way I can use heavy spiral/echo without it getting all muddy - since the Beat FX on the 900nexus doesn't have EQ buttons like the DJM-900NXS2.

    Okay I am Zero / nobody in this market, as I am not "Top Selling DJ" like Van Buuren, Guetta etc who is playing at biggest stages so who cares about my opinion. But as an enthusiast I feel that Pioneer is losing their Brand strength faster and faster. Yes, there is still "Club Standart" but nothing is endless in this world. While other brands suddenly became Big Players in the market, Pioneer continuing to release almost the same stuff in different cases. I mean c'mon! CDJ 3000? After seing live Denon's 5000/6000 they just added few buttons and placed color LCD screen under platter? And that is evolution from 2000 to 3000? In controller scene they always some restrictions in their products, like only 2 channel external mixer in 4 channel controller, the same unit with different soft and labels (DDJ 1000 vs DDJ 1000 SRT) and now this 6 channel monster. Totally identical hardware with replaceable fader part. They could add choice optons to choose fader panel and then just add stickers to mark differencies on connection swiches and reflash the Firmware. But no, here are two hardware units.

    • @dj-peterofficial2753
      @dj-peterofficial2753 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you think that a company like Pioneer DJ may be conducting some market research to know where to invest their money? It seems like pure envy from every competitor and the fans of those every time Pioneer succeeds with their ''bad'' gear. I have seen more DJ performances with the V10/CDJ-3000 combo in a week, than I've seen Denon gear in any combo for the last 3 years. Perhaps the Denon fans and fans of other gear should just buy all this gear that is ''better'' than what pioneer offers and show the world that it is, with amazing performances.
      If you talk the talk you need to walk the walk. Why would anyone believe in a brand that only show up in reviews and never in real shows. I don't know if you're a DJ, but you sure don't promote the gear you speak of on your channel. I do, as many others using Pioneer gear, because we use it on a daily basis and we do buy the gear we prefer. Progressive house DJ Miss Monique has been doing fantastic shows with her old CDJ-1000Mk3's this whole year, and that's 14 year old players. It shows what matters.

    • @Blaulicht1120
      @Blaulicht1120 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dj-peterofficial2753 I am not a fan of any gear, I am a fan of music. I use DJM450 on "daily basis" and phono preamps on this are total garbage. I wrote my thoughts. Dont see any point to argue with unknown to me "official" dj. Let's see how it will be in 5 years.

    • @dj-peterofficial2753
      @dj-peterofficial2753 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Blaulicht1120 My point is not to argue, but rather point out that Pioneer is not successful for no reason. All of their products have a very specified target of people, so most DJ's will feel ''left out''. BUT, if you're within the target span, you will probably feel right at home, and think it's the perfect gear for you. If your intention is to play vinyl I do wonder why the DJM-450 is your choice. I have it too in a small setup paired with 2 XDJ-700, and it sounds great even on larger systems. I'm fortunate enough to have a NXS2 setup also and the NXS2 mixer has great pre amps for real vinyl. If I had the need for a good sounding, not too expensive 2 channel mixer for playing vinyl, I'd go A&H, easy. I've been a working DJ since the mid 80's, so I buy gear I can make money on, and Pioneer has served me very well for +25 years now. One negative with Pioneer is that you always get what you pay for. They won't give you you the best of anything unless you choose from the top-of-the-line series. Just good enough for most. A&H on the other hand has decided on a very high level of sound quality no matter what mixer you buy, but with less features. I think that is fantastic. It gives us DJ's the opportunity to buy what suites our needs, and wallets. Where Pioneer is without competition is the integration between all their hardware and software. It gives choices and a flexibility far beyond what anyone else offers. I don't think any brand will be able to break that any soon, certainly not in only 5 years.

    • @Blaulicht1120
      @Blaulicht1120 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dj-peterofficial2753 well said mate. Regarding my choice: as I play vinyl only, i need 2 channels. I use effects (and i want to adjust its length), mostly Flanger. FX was always strong part ond DJMs. Filter (color fx) is useful too. And as i decided to extend horizons and use dvs too, i wanted unit with built in sound interface (and dvs licence included preferrably). DJM450 has it all. Except good sound from preamps lol. :D

    • @dj-peterofficial2753
      @dj-peterofficial2753 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Blaulicht1120 Well, good thing Pioneer just released the S11. It will make a bunch of S9's enter the used market at a fair price, and that one HAS got really good pre amp's, and as most of top-of-the-line products, there's spare parts available for most most wear and tear that happens to a battle/scratch mixer when needed. It's not a mixer for me, but I have a good friend and colleague who got one by chance a while ago, and he loves it. He's a house DJ, as far from a battle/scratch DJ as one can be, but he loves his vinyl and he prefer the S9 before the 4 channel club mixers from Pioneer. He's a 2 channel DJ, so he has both his XDJ-1000Mk2's and his Technics 1200's hooked up to the S9.
