Stunning cathedral! Looks Gaudi inspired, but after checking I see it precedes and probably inspired him! Enjoyed seeing some of the fish designs. (early Christion symbols) Beautiful inside and out! From the beautiful churches, stunning architecture, innovative bridges to the river barges, Cologne is a beautiful city. We enjoyed your full tour! Thanks for bringing us along.

Glorious images of the Cathedral in Cologne and some of the treasures contained within. It is amazing to stand before the west doors and look up to see the soaring towers reaching skywards far above. I am always impressed by the height of the nave when we walk inside. It looks a great experience to climb the towers for those super views, something we have not experienced.
Herrliche Bilder des Kölner Doms und einiger der darin enthaltenen Schätze. Es ist erstaunlich, vor den Westtüren zu stehen und nach oben zu schauen, um zu sehen, wie die hoch aufragenden Türme weit oben in den Himmel ragen. Ich bin immer wieder beeindruckt von der Höhe des Kirchenschiffs, wenn wir hineingehen. Es scheint ein tolles Erlebnis zu sein, die Türme zu erklimmen und die tolle Aussicht zu genießen, etwas, das wir noch nicht erlebt haben.

This cathedral is just amazing, truly a marvel of human engineering. I can't believe just how massive the structure is.
It's great to see so much original artwork inside and the stained glass is spectacular. The views from those tiny stairs you had to negotiate were great.

Hallo. Der Kölner Dom ist schon ein Gigantisches Bauwerk und wenn man bedenkt wie die Menschen dies das damals mit einfachen werkzeugen erbaut haben, ist das schon sehr heftig. Ich selber war noch nicht im inneren, aber vor kurzem auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt am Dom. Da waren mir aber viel zuviele Menschen unterwegs. Tolle aufnahmen. Danke euch. Für mich die schönste Stadt der Welt: Meine Heimatstadt! Und darüber hinaus: "Ich ben nit bloß'ene jebo:rene Kölsche... Ich ben KÖLSCH US ÜVVERZEUJUNG !!" - Und das gilt umso mehr, je weiter ich von Köln weg bin. - Gaanz, ganz vielen Dank für's Zeigen!
(Unabhängig davon weiß ich natürlich, dass der Dreikönigs-Schrein nicht wirklich die Gebeine der in den Evangelien tradierten "Weisen/Könige aus dem Morgenland" enthält, da diese Überlieferungen reine Fantasy sind)
