this song either fits a romantic scene in a movie when the protagonist is finally with their love interest, dancing happily in the comforts of their home, or the end credits for a horror/apocalypse/action movie where the ending was so shocking and climactic, it left the audience speechless in their seats

They were soulmates, and I'm glad to hear they got to be in heaven together at the same time. They didn't have to wait alone, separated from each other.
Although written in the 40s, it became a hit in the 60s - Rock's golden age - when most had thought crooners had had their day. Martin's delivery was flawless.
Please tell me I’m not the only person that sees this song as the perfect credits song to a really shocking movie ending? Like I can’t stop thinking that
A man who falls in love with a girl and continuously stalks her until he's so obsessed that he kills her, as this starts playing while he's holding her body, covered in blood smiling because he finally has her all to himself, roll credits.
Amen!!! But, we don't mourn the loss, we, "Celebrate, Celebrate, and dance to the music, Celebrate, Celebrate, and dance to the music." Oh what a day it was. Booty shaking was our way of protesting, lol. The more the adults wanted us to stop, the faster we shook, bounced, and jerked. We cut the rug up, and kicked it off the dance floor. Dancers gone Wild!!!!
I was nine years old in 1964 when my Grandmother and I were sitting in our car waiting for my parents to return from shopping when this came on our radio. As Dean Martin sang this tune, we sang right along with him. Do kids today sing popular music, that they hear on the radio, along with their grandparents? I am so glad I have those wonderful memories. She has been gone now for 45 years, and I have loved and missed her every day that has gone by.
Yes, as a 14 year old in 2020, I constantly sing along to music with whoever I'm with , whether thats my grandma or my best friend, and I'm really sorry about your grandma, I'm sure she's always watching you from above ❤️
Hey I was 9 in 64 as well! Not exactly! My Grandmother preferred Mario Lanza! However my grandson is into music from all eras and styles -he says anything except the top 40! So on a road trip we have 3 generations singing to songs, from 50s to current times, (enough CDs for a 12 hr road trip and back even!) -So he introduced me to Adele, James Blunt, and many other almost recent hits we sing along to -alongside oldies we've found together or independently!

The past year I got rejected by my old crush, and after her I didn't felt *love* for any girl. Everyday like that, until she openly told me when I was alone whether I wanted to join her chemistry team for a group project. Since then, I started seeing her with a "different" perspective, to the point I realised I fell in love again with a pure angel that was brought to me by God when I was more needed. This year was pretty tough, and since the beginning I didn't wanted to keep going... but I did it... I did it for *her* . Hello 👋 here I am with my 69 year old self . I'm listening to this on Sunday January 22,2023 one of my favorite songs 🎤 of all time Thank 🦋 You Dean Martin for the movies 🎬, songs and most definitely for the Dean Martin Celebrity Roast Shows 🤣
Me : *Im hopeless and awkward and desperate for love, i have no chance* *SONG STARTS PLAYING* Me: Well if Dean says it then... maybe i DO HAVE a chance
My grandpa sings this song a lot, he isn't a great singer, but when he passes one day i'll have this song to remember him by. I'll love you even when you die someday Grandpa Bernie.
A M A Z I N G !!! What a Voice, what a singer, what a actor, what a charm and handsome man ! Made History in World Music and Art. Unforgettable !! Thanks Dino for sharing with us your talent. Love it ! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I see this song as a double feeling Where you fall in love with someone and live happily ever after, with joy Or more somber, seeing everyone else falling in love and wishing it upon yourself. Either way, always a classic
yeah i was thinking about this. The feeling of watching everyone around falling in love. But being the person for whom love is just not working out properly. The feeling of loneliness.
Either way, it’s a good song to use at the end of a story, whether the protagonist’s growth was positive or negative. They could’ve beat the villain and got the girl, or they could’ve lost their girl and beat the villain only to find themselves worse than the villain ever was.
Dean said he was going to knock the Beatles off the top of the charts and he did exactly that in August of 1964 when "Everybody Loves Somebody" knocked "A Hard Day's Night" out of the number one spot on Billboard's Top 100.
No one can compare to Dean Martin's voice. No one could ever sound like him no matter how hard they tried. One word out of a song told you exactly who it was. His is the epitome of a velvet voice. I am grateful he made it possible for us to hear that voice forever. RIP, Dean.
I don't know what I'd do without this song, in struggling with suicidal thoughts and hopelessness and this brings me some joy, I love this song so much it is so comforting
Dean Martin - probably the greatest ever American alround classical entertainer. Few if anyone was able to seem so relaxed and naturally easy as the King of Cool.
Dean Martin can sing the phone book and sound great. His voice is like honey flowing across butter. One in a billion Dean. You are such a delight to watch and listen to..God surely has one heck of a choir…..Dean, Frank, Elvis……♥️♥️🥰🥰
Dean Martin was truly a wholesome man of good morals. He was a true human being who felt the preciousness of vital life in his heart. He successfully achieved his goal of pleasing humanity with his fondness for life. Happiness was preciously kept inside him, like a keepsake as he found ways to professionally released his happiness to all the world around him through entertainment.
Probably no one will see this but.. I met this guy he just seems amazing. We agree on everything important, and he even likes the same old songs I do. I want to dance with him to this song. We went on our first date this Sunday right after church together, we held hands a lot of the service and it was just wonderful. I hope this lasts, and I hope he’s the one. 💕 Update: today is our one month anniversary 🥰 everything has been great and so far it seems like he may be the one 🤍 he’s been here every Sunday and we spend time together every week. We’re very happy! Thank you all for the well wishes! Update 2: we just had our 6 month!! 🥰 I’m happier than ever and so in love with this man, truly. God really brought us together and I feel so blessed to have him in my life. Edit 3: We’ve been together 1 year! I love him with my whole heart, and I hope that never changes. 🫶🏻

Honestly not many songs work with multiple emotions. But somehow this song can have the happiest effect in a joyful moment, or the saddest in a down situation. In a certain contexts, this song can make one feel obsessed, or make one feel depressed, or make one feel euphoric. Lot of feelings may be connected to this song.
My grandmother loved Dean Martin❤️ If my grandmother was in the kitchen my grandfather Joseph would say “Modesta your boyfriend is on”. She would quickly then drop what she doing and watch Dean Martin❤️

This song is bitter-sweet to me. There was a girl that I was romantically interested in, I thought she was way out of my league but never the less after a few weeks of flirting with her she agreed to let me take her out on a date, after I got her text telling me to pick her up in Saturday this is was first song that played on my car radio on the way to work and it was one of the happiest moments of my life. It didn't work out between us and it happened that the day we went on a date would be the last day we ever saw each other. Her mother died and she went back to her home country and I left the job and worked in a different part of the country.
Dean's singing is just beyond compare, even in this slightly tongue in cheek bit of frivolity, his voice is so luxuriant and combines appealingly with those brilliant backing singers.

Everybody loves somebody sometime
Everybody falls in love somehow
Something in your kiss just told me
My sometime is now
Everybody finds somebody someplace
There's no telling where love may appear
Something in my heart keeps saying
My someplace is here
If I had it in my power
I'd arrange for every girl to have your charms
Then every minute, every hour
Everybody would find what I found in your arms
Everybody loves somebody sometime
And though my dreams were overdue
Your love made it well worth waiting for
For someone like you
Someone already spit back the lyrics, it was unnecessary the first time. Tell us what you actually think.
@Christy Sara well he wrote the lyrics wrong so...
not needed but perfect for karaoke
Thanks man, appreciated
@@Prajith You are welcome Prajith
I'm still listening to this in 2022. This has to be one of my favs of all time. Thank you Dean.
Hello 👋 here I am with my 69 year old self . I'm listening to this on Sunday January 22,2023 one of my favorite songs 🎤 of all time Thank 🦋 You Dean Martin for the movies 🎬, songs and most definitely for the Dean Martin Celebrity Roast Shows 🤣
Me : *Im hopeless and awkward and desperate for love, i have no chance*
*SONG STARTS PLAYING*
Me: Well if Dean says it then... maybe i DO HAVE a chance
HaHaHaHaHaH, same
Ahahahaha... I don't have any hope
Chandler?
Chandler is that you?
Yep
His voice and songs are so comforting
I can't find modern song about love that would be so beautiful and romantic
not a modern one but listen to 'something' by george harrison, beautiful song.
No modern romance song can have this appeal.
Btw. I love you profile. Team Alucard.
I really miss songs like these
6ix 9ine: FeFe Ft Nikki Minaj and Murder Beatz
You cant find one because one does not exist.
Love it ! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I see this song as a double feeling
Where you fall in love with someone and live happily ever after, with joy
Or more somber, seeing everyone else falling in love and wishing it upon yourself.
They could’ve beat the villain and got the girl, or they could’ve lost their girl and beat the villain only to find themselves worse than the villain ever was.
yeah for me its second, watching all the love around me, how surrounded I am yet how so alone I am, but hey I guess thats how it is huh.
Dean said he was going to knock the Beatles off the top of the charts and he did exactly that in August of 1964 when "Everybody Loves Somebody" knocked "A Hard Day's Night" out of the number one spot on Billboard's Top 100.
F in chat. Both great songs tho
I like hard day's night but this is better imo
Both songs are incredible, Put i personally like this song better
No one can compare to Dean Martin's voice. No one could ever sound like him no matter how hard they tried. One word out of a song told you exactly who it was. His is the epitome of a velvet voice. I am grateful he made it possible for us to hear that voice forever. RIP, Dean.
This knocked the Beatles off the top of the charts in 1964.
This is really good ❤❤
Old is gold
This song makes me cry because I really wonder if I’ll ever find someone who loves me.
U will find someone who loves u, believe my words
First be happy with who you are; then Get ready, when you least expect it…..
Same 😭
You can't make it happen, it will. Keep the faith!
Stay positive there's someone for everyone
I don't know what I'd do without this song, in struggling with suicidal thoughts and hopelessness and this brings me some joy, I love this song so much it is so comforting
Use the strength this songs gives you and keep fighting!
You got this buddy!
You will find that magic person!
@@shinbetE it’s getting better slowly, just need to keep doing the best that i can. thank you

Dean Martin - probably the greatest ever American alround classical entertainer. Few if anyone was able to seem so relaxed and naturally easy as the King of Cool.
i LOVE this type of music, when i’m at school i go to a quiet place by myself read my book with this playing in the background. so peaceful.
Every body loves somebody!Wooow!
Wonderful Song and Voice!❤
Probably no one will see this but.. I met this guy he just seems amazing. We agree on everything important, and he even likes the same old songs I do. I want to dance with him to this song. We went on our first date this Sunday right after church together, we held hands a lot of the service and it was just wonderful. I hope this lasts, and I hope he’s the one. 💕
Update: today is our one month anniversary 🥰 everything has been great and so far it seems like he may be the one 🤍 he’s been here every Sunday and we spend time together every week.
Hope it works out between you both!
thats so cute, hope it lasts
Hope it lasts for both of you!
umm shouldn't you both be focusing on the worship and message in church service?

Ganz toller Oldie, einfach hervorragend !!!

I loved Dean! He, Sinatra and several others were the epitome of class---something we've lost in the 21st century.
Deans last note in this song is perfection. The overlap over the background singers is just perfect
Bless u pal!
Life goes on
Happens
😊 Stay blessed pal!
The song itself feels bittersweet
Dean's singing is just beyond compare, even in this slightly tongue in cheek bit of frivolity, his voice is so luxuriant and combines appealingly with those brilliant backing singers.
