Nice info and presentation. I have not been very satisfied with my first lonsdor k518se either. I let the free update period expire and Lonsdor subs is set at $480 + $70 activation fee per calculation or special manufacturer. At that point, i decided to buy the new lonsdor with 5 manufacturer to chose from. Btw, mine is suffering from the battery issue as well
@@lakelandcarkeys mine never stopped receiving yhr updates but when i reached out to lonsdor support they said i need to pay the $480 subscription. So the programmer will do basic programming such as adding a fobik to a 16 Jeep cherokee but say i want to do something special such generate a SKE (the former version of LKE was SKE- same purpose), the scanner prompts me to Pay 💰 lol. Last time i experienced that was a 2018 rav4; i attempted to generate an SKE with the immo data to add a key in an all keys lost situation; got the message “contact your distributor to pay for subscription and Toyota activation so i used my obdstar nd the key sim to generate the analog key nd added a xm38 generated for the rav4
yes it will program aftermarket keys. it will program a xm38 or autel universal key, you just need to generate the key profile with the xhorse or autel device first then use whatever programmer you want to program the key
@lakelandcarkeys Thank you! Just ordered mine... Currently have an im608, Smart pro, APP, Keytool pro, OBD Star and NASTIF + Cardaq 3.. Wanted it for Volvo and JLR... avoid the eeprom work.... But the more I research it, the more I find that it's pretty capable. Appreciate the info man.
My friend I’m new to this industry. I took a locksmith class that taught me some of the basics and I got a k518ise as my main programmer. Can I do most jobs with this tool? I’m thinking of also getting a km100 to be able to do most basic vehicles. Thanks!
do you please care to share the link to the locksmith class you took? is the class widely accepted in the US as a prerequisite to Licensing in States that require a license for Locksmithin?? thanks to let me know

Great tool done so many keys with it....can read Volvo xc60 2022 cem with ADP adaptor..and do all key lost.....very fast

From what o understand, all of the older units are now free lifetime updates. I can update mine, but not all the online features always work.

@@lakelandcarkeys you are absolutely right. that is exactly what is happening to mine. i get huge updates but cannot go for the online option.

k518 + km100 + key tool max will cover most of what you need.
