    • @DerMoerpler
      @DerMoerpler หลายเดือนก่อน

      What's also important is that that happens like two minutes into the film. Absolutely no set-up, just Owen sitting on a bench and seeing a guy threatening a woman with a baby, immediatly killing said guy with a fucking carrot and then mowing down an army of henchmen. Where are they coming from so fast? Why does Clive Owen use a gun as an universal tool for every Task imaginable, no matter how silly? Counter question: Who gives a fuck?
      It's an insanely stupid movie and I love every second.

But, there really wasn't much of a plot." The manager replied with a slightly bemused look on his face, "You're expecting a plot? From a movie called SHOOT 'EM UP?" R rated loony toons cartoon was exactly the working thesis of the movie - they modeled the main character on Bugs Bunny, and that’s why he has the carrot fixation.

    Mythbusters ALSO did the hand in the fire with bullets thing. I think both were more 'It'd be fun to see what'd take to do this' than going 'See, it can't be done!' Which I think a lot of people don't realize Mythbusters did more often than not. It's like blowing up the cement truck, then standing in the crater, giggling, and admitting 'This had nothing to do with testing the myth.' They just had fun, like this movie.
