John is an inmate who lost his family to violence and took revenge, ending up in prison. His only wish is to reunite with his wife and daughter, but he's denied the death penalty he desires and remains trapped in the harsh realities of prison life. John isn't the protagonist, though. The main character is a man who ends up in prison after an unfortunate event (no spoilers!). While trying to survive the brutal environment, he meets John, whose words you're hearing in this song. I remember, the little smile when she laid down my chest; she liked listening to me breathing. You can't take that away." The much older knight takes a deep breath, while the younger one looks down towards the ground in worry. The younger soldier says back to his colleague, "I feel like I let him down..." The older knight smiles, "You will, if we don't make it out of here." Thousands upon thousands of men, beasts and contraptions dash and roll towards their way to the two men. They lightly kneel, as a force begins to brew within themselves. With their raw power and strength, they unleash their inner selves. The older knight portrays as a blazing angel: his wings flow out, fire consuming them, which as the younger soldier forms that of a tall armored archer: his bow gives off a blue hue, while his arrows made of electricity forms upon his hands. Their enemy gives off an echoing, bloodlust roar. Without hesitation, the older man shifts his weight, and flies at extreme speeds towards his foes, his blade getting coated with magma, which he then rips apart through groups like that of grass. The younger soldier pulls back the string upon his bow, and fires a stream of electrical arrows, which pierce through multiple beings, ripping them to shreds. As their fight continues on, a being phases over to the older knight: his body made that of mist and darkness shifts around him: blades of that of a thousand soldiers instantly start slashing at him. The older knight's armor degrades, as he is getting overwhelmed by the countless onslaught of swords. The fire upon his wings begin to fade, dimming the light around himself. The younger soldier notices the difference of the battleground and turns around to notice his ally is dying. The misted demon turns his gaze over to the younger soldier, it's voice laugh echoes deep within his head. It slowly floats towards him, while the older knight falls down upon his face, unable to move. The younger soldier stands in fear, and slowly closes his eyes...the quietest of voices appears within his head... "She liked listening to me breathing..." This single sentence gave the younger one hope, and desire that he needs to fight on for his ally; that he can't stand their and die, and let the flag be torn down and allow the creatures to cross over to the humane realm. He raises his bow, and energies begin to form in the middle of it. The demon begins to phase over to him, his mist ripping across the ground. The creatures that the two have been fighting start to rush over, but are then incinerated by that of the younger soldier's arrow: it's light and electricity shoots outward, ripping apart everything that is deemed evil towards him. The demon is torn asunder, and fades away, while the other creatures slowly turn to ash. The older knight begins to turn to ash slowly, and a voice quietly speaks to his younger friend, "I may now be reunited with my love...do not lose hope in anything, and may light always give you hope..." With that, the older knight's body is ash, and it flows out into the distant sky. The younger soldier quietly sighs, and kneels down to give his respects to his master, and only friend in the world.
