Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 sometimes releases a character with good tools but ultimately a build, stats, moveset or super attacks that hold the character back and unfortunately Hero Vote character 3 GT Vegeta does suffer from some of these problems.

I've never seen a single Vados user, I'd use custom whis before I use vados.
I remember using him in the beginning and loving his ki blast infinite. That was always a fun mechanic, and honesty felt it was quite fair if you're comparing it to the other busted stuff. I mean, seriously, you're gonna patch that and not weaken the other busted things...?

Crazy how they took his ki blast loops out when they did basically no damage for the time it took meanwhile UI Sign can still backhit the air and loop one of his better damaging combos and they came from the same DLC. Its bad enough they made GT Vegeta into Tapion 2.0 (low basic damage, three of his 4 supers are utility moves and the damage move is meh, etc) but removing the thing that made him fun af just killed the character.
Really wish he had a custom now just so I could fix his basic damage and stamina, and better move synergy wouldn't hurt either. His basic attacks have some strong traits like his all heavy combo ender having no endlag so you can immediately combo after with a light attack, but again what good is it when his basics are so weak?
I know why people don’t play him anymore and it’s because they removed his tech with the unlimited ki volley. Me personally? I would praise them for removing something (in my eyes that’s kinda cheap) since you can infinite loop your opponent from a distance with pretty much complete safety. But then that would mean other characters like goku, hit, male earthlings, female earthlings, etc. basically any cast chac or cac would be nerfed immediatly if they removed all the unlimited combos. dimps knows what they are doing and they just don’t care lol

It wasn't cheap in the slightest. It didn't do enough damage to even be a threat lol.
It was just a spice to make his combos more fun, but Dimps doesn't like fun.

@@Kode_KK pretty much yeah. The way dimps works is like any other cod game. A new character comes out and he’s crazy op for like a day or 2 and then the community who cheeses like crazy complains about the new characters being op so they nerf the characters hard asf to which they basically become unplayable online. 75% of the time if your going for a combo online it’s gonna fail mainly just due to inconsistent connection. Even when the internet is POG the game still freaks out online.
Damn, that last Gamma 1 fight really showed you getting angry and going almost all out to beat him without errors, scary but cool haha

This Vegeta (GT) is the most fun Vegeta to me to play with.
Unfortunately they nurfed his back hit after than Ki blast combo, that made him even less flexiable. but overal he is cool charchter to play with.
Taking that away from him not only made him more boring to play, but also killed his gameplan.

@@doubled6501 at least with Vados you still can back hit, with Vegeta you can not back hit at all. So you need to ki cancel as fast as you can

Evo is the most fun Vegeta to me but his moves are quite slow and it takes away from it
If Gt Vegeta was overall fun, I'd play him but he doesn't have really anything that speaks out to me
I love his knee drop because it always catches people that don't know when no to vanish
Same stuff still happens with characters like Bardock and Adult/Future Gohan on their elbow drops, they've literally been here since launch and half the people I fight still don't know how to vanish from them, same with Z Broly's clothesline lariat and diving drag down punch thing.
Personally my favourite Vegeets is custom SSG with the planet buster gallick gun super and the super soul that buffs it's damage further as you use it. Absolute nuke on every knockback. And you can even combo into it from... Wait for it... Meteor strike.
Am honestly still surprised that he was one of the top three most voted characters.

Glad to see you showing this character some love. Been playing him more than anyone else since he came out and hated how people have been sleeping on him. Super galick gun is your best friend. When you do your heavy with two kicks and wait a second before firing his two ki blasts in his combo you can fire super galick gun right after. The opponent will have to use an evasive or tank the hit. Great tool for forcing stamina or health down not to mention his super soul may give ki back after the ultimate. The stamina is a little tricky to work around but one good combo will cripple or one shot your opponent thanks to final shine.
Hello! Love your videos. Great to finally see some light on Gt Vegeta, one of my mains. I have a suggestion. The super attack justice rush combos out of a male Saiyan's six light three heavy combo, and the super attack also combos into an ultimate. That includes justice combination, and when paired with blue or evolution and I think I'm finally warmed up now, it one shots. (ps, flash strike also combos out of justice combination, and meteor explosion works too.)
I still stand by my desire for CACs to be able to change attack moveset so i can use GT Vegeta’s moveset on my sayian
They removed all of his volley extension tech and that is what killed GT Vegeta in my eyes.
This is a hot take but super explosive wave is the new dragon burn, there I said it.
Except they haven't nerfed Dragon Burn, so they're both just kinda really busted.
Still can't believe this character made it in the game, I know people felate the shaft of Goku & Vegeta endlessly but the ONLY Impact GT Vegeta had was fusing and getting possessed.

I think the reason ppl don't use him (or the reason I he's not my most fav) is cause of final shine attack being weirf, but even then he has other great reasons to use bim
I personally don’t like that he lacks a consistent stamina break and his only knock back super being Wild Buster sucks.
You can use galick gun, it does ton of damage.
And if you land a stamina break, you van one shot anyone with his final shine attack

If his counter worked on ki blast attacks then he would be infinitely better, just having an easy "NO" button for ki stuns would make him so much better and versatile. But ultimately I just wish they left his fcking ki blast backhit loops in, him and UI Omen came in the same dlc pack yet Omen Goku gets to keep his unique bullshit almost 2 years later while GT Vegeta gets neutered within 3 months, and that's the most anime accurate thing in this game.

if this Vegeta had a Galick Gun preset he'd be so crazy cause his blast stat is already through the roof and his super soul buffs all his attacks aaaaand gives him ki back if you're lucky. After his heavy light heavy he'd easily do a health bar's worth in 1 easy combo.
Honestly if they turned Explosive wave into a two bar evasive, a crap ton of characters would get better like a majority of Vegeta’s, DBZ Gogeta, Caulifla, Pikkon, and other characters I didn’t mention.

First of all, there were only three characters in that pack so that isn't much of an accomplishment. Second, no. He has always been the worst one by far, UI Sign Goku was infinitely better, even before they nerfed the ki blast infinite. It really wasn't all that strong to begin with, it's just the principles, honestly. The fact that they nerfed that one minor exploit when there are literally hundreds of more broken ones speaks volumes on how little the devs actually care about this game.
@@SoapyBowl The only thing UI Sign has going for him is his grab loop infinite, other than that his MUI counterpart is far superior ain’t even close, the other two characters were more fun to play as until GT Vegeta got nerfed leaving only Dyspo as the standout character.
@@RogueFox2185 Well I wasn't really talking about MUI (which I also don't think is better than UI Sign at all), I was more so talking about GT Vegeta. Every single one of Vegeta's moves is either mid or straight up trash, his stats are atrocious, his basic attack is nonexistent, and he has really bad range. The only "bad" thing about UI Sign is the fact that he has a 3-bar evasive that really sucks.
@@SoapyBowl He truly became bad after the nerf because even though he did little basic damage he could take down the opponent with death by a thousand cuts as you couldn’t really vanish without using an evasion skill and that’s what made up for his terrible stats, also with UI Sign his one unique super skill is trash and his ult drops your opponent on lag along with the fact that once Auto-Dodge comes on it’s basically Gg’s when you can just double Ki Stun and waste his already low stamina.

You can say what you want about GT. But GT characters are Stylish. The prince of all Sayain's tucks his hands in his pocket while dragging you to the ground and beating your ass with all dem extensions.

As a GT Vegeta main, I can tell you, I have too many fights because my opponent doesn’t know what Shield Barrier does and they just keep spamming ki attacks.

6:26 there are so many things in this game that should be forbidden and IMO, being able to attack into a combo after an evasive is one of the most illegal looking things I’ve seen in this game. Evasives are meant for escape, not to start a combo, same goes for grabs also.
Agreed. I think it's more acceptable for 3-bar evasives, but 2-bar evasives that are fast and can be used to start a combo are completely stupid.

Spamming it all the time is aggravating but so is on demand 1 hit ko abilities you can't vanish from, can't be mad at one exploit while praising another.
Tbh I can see why he doesn’t use it, it’s over prioritized heavily, very unbalanced, takes nothing to do, and like he said which is something I didn’t even consider but, you can be beat by the worst characters if the opponent you’re fighting is using ki stuns/cancels because of frames and what not.
