Paseiro should be sacked immediately! It's been a long time ago I saw a Nigerian senior national team look so disjointed. No clear pattern of play. He keeps using a Goalkeeper that cost Nigeria a place in the last World Cup by conceding a soft goal. In the two recently played friendly games against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique, Uzoho conceded from dead ball situations. Against Lesotho it was the same story. Now against Zimbabwe, he conceded from a ridiculously far away free kick. Uzoho conceded n my opinion is one of the WORST Goalkeepers to play for the Nigerian national team! Yet Paseiro still plays him as his first choice Goalkeeper! From the defense to midfield to the attack, I cannot see coordination. The team had only one shot on target in 90 minutes and that brought the only goal from the directionless Nigerian team. There's more to appointing a Manager like Paseiro who's got no past track record to be Manager of one of the biggest teams in African Football. The structure forming the Nigerian Football Federation NFF is faulty because it's mainly based on political and sometimes ethnic lines. This will deny the very qualified people from getting into the NFF which has been suspected of being corrupt. Nigeria's age grade teams even struggle to qualify from Africa these days. The senior female national team qualified but just by shear determination of the players and foreign Manager who publicly exposed the corruption in the NFF which included embezzling money meant for preparing the team for the female World Cup.
The players are aware of this and wouldn't want to give their best. The body language and attitude of the players against Lesotho and Zimbabwe even when they were a goal down revealed a lot. I doubt it if this Nigerian team can make it to the next World Cup.... except a drastic change happens. Paseiro needs to be relieved of his job. He has no distinct style of play, keeps using a 442 because of the high number of strikers he invites....he always uses two strikers therefore leaving the midfield light with only two natural midfielders.

My thought too. There's nothing extra special about the shot. Was it fast? Yes, but I'm not sure you can beat a world class keeper in the given scenario, without them even touching the ball.

Outplay what? The only quality shot you had was the free kick. Nigeria had lots of moment to score. They dominated possession and chances. The only problem was that Nigeria were poor in decision making, coordination and organisation, hence the draw.

Watching these highlights I can say we were lucky to get a point, clueless team with no clear leadership or creativity, the players are just dragging their feet across the field, and for some reason this coach keeps using Uzoho. We failed to make u17 world cup which is like our bread and butter, now the senior team have resumed their shenanigans.

If you look at that freekick uzoho form only one man wall that shows you how bad Uzoho his as a goal keeper. He supposed to do better, at least 3 man wall to make it difficult for the free kick kicker from seeing the post.
I'm a fan of Uzoho, but from such a distance, he's at liberty to say a 1 man wall is just fine for him. The range/positions determines forming and positioning of the wall. That was from a long distance out, the issue in this case IMO was with this positioning. I think he was a bit off his line before the kick.
