Kawaii Frog ~ Polymer Clay + UV Resin Tutorial

  • Hi, everyone! :) Watch in HD!
    In this DIY tutorial, I share how to make/craft/sculpt a kawaii, miniature frog in a bottle, using polymer clay and UV resin! 🐸💕 With easy to follow steps, I show lots of tips/tricks/techniques on how to make a cute figurine complete with a lily pad and flower.
    Tools used:
    Polymer clay: dark green, light green, vanilla, light brown, light pink
    Popsicle sticks
    Acrylic rolling pin
    Small, flat lid
    Craft knife
    Needle tool
    Dotting tool
    Chalk pastel: pink
    Paintbrushes
    Gloves
    Safety mask
    UV resin
    Blue UV resin pigment
    Plastic shot glass
    Toothpick
    Small glass jar with cork

      I don’t work with resin so I think I will use clay as my water as well

    I use your wood stick tip to roll the clay but with two nail files...works awesome!!! Very cute tutorial. Thanks

    One thing I discovered while making these bottle charms is that you need to make sure the resin is VERY well-cured before sealing it, since the gases it emits can become trapped and build up in the bottle. I made some as gifts for my friends, and a few of them told me several months later that their bottles eventually cracked.

      Oooh, good tip! Thanks for sharing! 💕 That’s too bad yours cracked! I’ve only ever made one other bottle charm with UV resin, a couple of years ago, and it’s still holding up. Fingers crossed that it doesn’t happen to either one!

      @@Cloudfetti Yeah, hopefully! I wasn't using the best quality resin, to be fair, so that may have been a factor.
