- Chaos by Clank is a 6 channel random gate and voltage generator that can be constrained to all sorts of musical timings and scales. It has a looper per channel, can be influenced by CV input to transpose any channel or all of them, and has a chaos input that will scramble the parameters for each channel based on a customizable entropy amount. its like a more playable marbles with a TON more outputs. i could play a whole live set with this.
I just removed my Marbles (Pachinko) to install Chaos.
Sth is missing or I don't know how to patch it. Marbles has this neat feature of applying small permutations when DejaVu is on and arount 1 o'clock. I would like to inject a little bit of chaos to looped sequence.

Finally arrived... it's awesome. And to me it's awesome in a lot of the same ways Acid Rain Maestro is awesome. And it does actual ratchets (unlike friggen Bloom). Holy crap, you play all day with just the freakin slew button :-)
This is quite nice! I'd love to see a comparison to other random sequence generator modules so I can get a better idea of what it's strengths and weaknesses are.
You know, that would be a good idea for a lot of module types, actually. A big comparison video between several popular modules that do kinda the same things. Like, how many companies such as Befaco, Bastl, ALM, and Endorphin .es have their own unique modules that fill a similar space to Make Noise's MATHS. Seeing them all side by side could be really valuable.

I wish my Bloom did actual ratchets. :-( They promised to add them in a firmware update, and a year later said it will never happen.
@@mntbighker that sucks! I actually just stepped out of modular. It’s just too much. I spend way too much time watching shit and dumping money. So fuck it.

How would you rate Clank Chaos for percussion/drums sequencing? Or it's more of a melodic feature? I thought running into Squarp Rample + Erica's Sample Drum and use CV's to modulate drums parameters\fx on rample and sample slicing on Sample Drum. I'm currently running Robaux SWT16+, but it's too stale to my taste, to linear. I really liked randomisation feature of Qubit Pulsar and Clank Chaos looks like something similar, without traditional sequencer Pulsar has.

this seems so cumbersome. not the chaos part. i reckon, if you just turn knob(s) and push buttons, the result will be interesting no matter what. but the deep possibilities you showed - while i admire your dedication - would have to be prepared in advance if used in a live setting.
actually the exact opposite. this sequencer allows for quick setup and easy performance.
