    When you really work it out companies pay no tax if they have franking credits. It does not matter if company tax is 0% or 100% or 30%. once the shareholder gets the dividend they pay tax on their marginal rate and claim the franking credit back

      Not how I would personally look at it. A company definitely pays tax. The individual then receives a tax credit and pays at their marginal rate less the tax already withheld. The company still needs to factor in the tax to their profitability, it is the individual who receives the benefit of the franking credits.
