Used to live with a view down Ennerdale valley and when it fills with mist I used to tell the kids it was dragon breath. That path out of Ennerdale I have described to friends as like the path into Mordor (it can be a killer). The other two bodies of water are Crummock (far) and Buttermere. Looks like you came down the road from Honnister? There is an old pathway which is easier on the legs. There are some stunning sunsets out in the West of the lakes and out over the Irish Sea. Glad you enjoyed it.
