A month back i heard a street musician perform this song. I had some difficult choices to make and wasn’t feeling my best and the moment i stopped to listen to him and actually concentrate on the lyrics it’s like time had stopped for me and his voice and the people around me walking back and forth in the subway didn’t feel real. An outer body experience you may call it. I teared up; almost cried. Then went up to him and asked for the song. I’m so happy I did it because this song is amazing and wish any person going through difficult times could hear it at the right moment like I did. If that musician comes across this comment i hope he remembers and now knows how much the song meant to me at that moment.
I'll say this: Seeing this being preformed on broadway live made me choke up and jump out of seat with the hundreds of others cheering. It was beautiful and a moment I will never forget.
These songs have got to be some of the most beautiful I have ever heard in my life. It just feels real and sends shivers running up and down you're back. Thumbs up if you got shivers too listening to this!
There is a study that says people who get the chills to a song is a new development of evolution and not everyone can have them from music. I get the chills to this song, ther r aren't very many that do that to me.
I think this song has to be one of my most favorite songs ever made! No matter how old this song gets I will continue to listen to it and I am sure I will continue to get chills everytime like I do now.
I've been a fan of Glen Hansard for awhile now, but never had I seen Once. I was watching TV earlier today and to my luck it was playing. I turned it on and it was the scene where Glen and Marketa are playing this together in the back of the music store and I was instantly enthralled with the movie. These two are some of the most beautiful people and musicians I've ever heard.
this song relates to me and my boyfriend in so many ways . Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who sees the man buried inside himself . I have seen him when others can't. I will continue to help him point in the right direction and love him through all the storms ! I won't let him sink .!
I don't know you but I want you All the more for that Words fall through me and always fool me And I can't react Games that never amount To more than they're meant Will play themselves out Take this sinking boat and point it home We've still got time, raise your hopeful voice You had the choice, you've made it now Falling slowly, eyes that know me And I can't go back Moods that take me and erase me And I'll paint it black You have suffered enough and warred with yourself It's time that you won Take this sinking boat and point it home We've still got time, raise your hopeful voice You had the choice, you've made it now Take this sinking boat and point it home We've still got time, raise your hopeful voice You had the choice, you've made it now Falling slowly, sing your melody I'll sing it now call and I'll sing along

So, I remember listening to this when I was young, and could never remember the title. Just watched Once at the RMTC (Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre) And heard the first few chords and almost broke into tears. I love this song and remember listening to this so much as a child. Now I know the song title and I'm blessed!
This song reminds me of someone very dear to me...Someone who's very far from me at the moment, and every time I listen to this song I think of the times we were together...
Amazing love story in the sense that the couple share nothing more than a tepid hug and hold hands for two brief moments. Somehow this movie manages to pull off the near impossible in this regard.
just watched Once and i cant believe I lost the half of my life for not seeing this movie for years! xoxo from the Philippines and watching it now 2015 ♥

I just saw it off Broadway in new York, and I must say that this was one of the most moving and beautiful songs I have ever heard
I don't know you
But I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me
And always fool me
And I can't react
And games that never amount
To more than they're meant
Will play themselves out
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice, you have a choice
You've made it now
Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can't go back
And moods that take me and erase me
And I'm painted black
Well you have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It's time that you won
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice, you have a choice
You've made it now
Falling slowly sing your melody
I'll sing along
Some bits are wrong
Gently and poignantly touches the soul. Beautiful.
