He explicitly told in the beginning, if it's against the motion it will be mentioned specifically in the question, otherwise it is automatically understood that both are going in the same direction.

If we can only count no. Of steps when escalator is switched off , then why do we even consider the speed of escalator?
Referring to the very first example
We should only consider our speed which is 2 steps per second.
At some point u are saying escalator is moving, but also u said we can count N only when escalator is switched off?
When escalator is switched off then number of steps will be the product of speed of person and time taken only , but when there is relative motion we need to consider both the speeds of person as well escalator . In the very first example speed of man and escalator added up, hence it becomes the total speed

@@gametutorial2942 I don't think so we can calculate number of steps when we're given relative speeds , he said number of steps will be constant when escalator is switched off. Ultimately we can't calculate number of steps when we've given relative speeds we can't put escalator on rest.

There is a difference between Escalator's total no of steps and the speed of the escalator, sir never took no of steps of a escalator while moving, he took the speed of the escalator.
In last question 11+35 =46 now we multiply by 2 it will be 92 but sir wrote 81 how ?

4:50- I have never tried to climb an escalator moving downwards.

in last question escalator is not moving.. then why should we take it as no of steps by men + no of steps by escalator..??
cause you see the person is moving 11 steps and the escalator is moving 2steps/sec = 70 steps even if it is turned off the person has to climb his step + the steps which was previously covered by the escalator so in a turned off state a person has to climb 81 steps....just relate as if you are onto the escalator and the questions become elegant

Sir in the last question it is mentioned number of steps visible when it is not moving, I think it should be total no. of step÷2 because some steps at the back will not be visible

Sir in the last question, it is nowhere mentioned that the escalator was moving downwards. So why did you add the steps as you have already mentioned earlier that by default we should consider the escalator moving upwards?
Sir said that if nothing is mentioned then we vl consider that both person and escalator is moving in same direction
Hello viewer , according to sir and concept , one thing is same always , speed of the escalator is always same and effective speed changes according to if the person is moving in same direction or opposite direction , add speed of the person and elevator for same direction and subtract speed of person and elevator for opposite direction • All the best for cat
sir in last question we are calculating N including both person and escalator but the question ask for not moving condition
N is always constant. whether it moving up or down or off , u can see only "N" no of steps.. just imagine u ll get it
