This actually helped me, i wasted hours thinking this was related to overclocking and finally the problem was the defaul setting was in the wrong position.

Guys I know the solution. I had the same problem. After starting my laptop this annoying blue screen kept showing, so I took out ever component in my laptop (you don't have to, I only did it to check if something was broken) and nothing was broken. So I knew Windows messed their shit up with a update or something like that. I took a USB Stick and downloaded Windows 10 (trial version but who cares at least my laptop works again, even if I'm the bottom right it said activate windows) from my brother PC (you can download Windows 10 at a friend's house or a relative) then you just have to stick the USB in your broken PC or Laptop and download Windows 10. Only bad thing that didn't even bother me was that after deleting Windows 7 everything will be gone. But seriously who cares just download it anew instead of buying a new one. This is only for the people who tried everything (like me) and nothing worked. Just watch a video on how to download Windows 10 ( or whatever version ) with a USB or DVD and then how to boot your pc afterwards. Hope this helps, because I know this video didn't for me.

Please someone help me! I've taken my computer in for repair a few weeks ago for a different error bsod, spent almost 200 dollars replaced hard drive then had an additional Windows 8 system installed. It's been working fine ever since but now just last night computer shut down as I was logging in I've got this error, it also points to a file, \Windows\System32\drivers\WRkrn.sys I've got this error now, error code 0xc000007b It says you'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media, usb or cd, if you don't have any installation media contact your pc manufacturer... now that I have 2 windows 8's the start up menu is completely different normally you would select the good one, now the boot up is all screwed up, I've no longer access to command prompt only a Windows Bios menu. I can take pictures if needed.. just can't afford to keep taking it in..was working fine, don't understand. Maybe it's a virus..I'm a Voice Over actor and I can't miss out on my auditions it would suck...

I can't find SATA operation. However I can find SATA Mode Selection. I get these options: Disabled, IDE, ACHI and RAID. It's currently on ACHI. Any tips?

Different boards have different names. Search for 'Sata type' under every option.
Then change from Ahci to Sata or Ide.
