Well done for trying solo caravaning, it will give others confidence to try it themselves 👍

Thanks for the confidence. I'm sure there are many who would like to travel solo, even if it is is to pursue a hobby such as fishing or the like.

Thanks Susan. It will be just over 2 weeks before the next one, as we will be spending a week in Holland.

We are in the CAMHC to enable us to use the CL's although this year we have used a few club sites but Ouch££££££, very expensive now

Yes the prices have gone up. If you use PitchUp then you can see all the independent sites for which there are many.

Nicely done. Very good to have an aerial view of a site to give the general location.

Thanks. We always take the drone up when location or weather permits. We usually record in 4k but this one is lower quality as I forgot to set the camera correctly.

Thank you for taking us along. I liked the check that you showed before taking off from the camping site. That site looks delightful with the opportunities to shop. Looking forward to seeing the family united on the next trip. Yeah, the portions were huge 😅

Thanks for watching the video all the way to the end. We are looking forward to the Netherlands next weekend for the full week. We will be visiting Amsterdam but we will show a few other places too. That Stir Fry did look big but it all went down with a few glasses of Gin and Tonic.

@@whereveraway Amsterdam is not too far off from us. I’ll have to ask the hubby, where he fancies going next. Our last trip was to the North Sea by Bremerhaven, where we found a great caravan site for dogs. We have a young puppy. We are still doing little test drives to get used to stuff. The next time I want us to try taking our bikes along. We need to get around to actually weighing our Eriba GT 542 fully loaded. We even reduced our max. loaded weight so that my weaker car could theoretically tow it

You could forget the cycles and choose to hire them instead. If you think about it logically, you can very quickly eliminate a lot of the things you take with you. If you focus on the places and not make the Eriba a second house, then you should be fine. The Eriba is a Tourer and the focus should be about the places you visit not the things you take with you. Be ruthless as to what you take with you. If there is only 2 of you and the puppy, you don't even need an awning. The Eriba is cosy enough.

@@whereveraway Nice advice, but we bought ours used and we have the awning already (rain guards, too). It’s tough for me to be brutal about stuff, cuz I think the caravan is so cute like a doll house. I am sure I’ll calm down with time 😂

    Thanks for the video
It would be really interesting to see how you set up your Eriba when you arrive with respect to water use and waste water and electricity supply etc. just bought an Eriba and there does not seem to be any set up on site videos.
Do you have an on board water tank or would you recommend an aqua roll? Simple stuff I know but to a new Eriba user it would be helpful for some tips on this .. maybe a top 10 tips video ?
    Thanks for the vids 👍

Hi Nigel, the aqua roll is used to top up the onboard water tank using the whale pump and electric terminal at the side of the Eriba. I recall covering this on some of our videos.

Hi Mark, yes we went there last week and we have a 5 video mini series with an average of 20 minute videos each. First one is on Sunday 6th November at 18.30pm GMT then the same each following week for the remaining 4 videos.

@@whereveraway Great thanks Gary look forward to seeing them. You said you would do a quick video re draining down fir the winter. Are you still planning to do that as I need to do this soon and looking for tips and advice on how to do this as it will be my first time. Thanks again Gary 👍

I was looking to wait until the frost comes before doing that vid. There's other things which I do also at the end of the Year, which take a bit longer. I will do something within the next 2 weeks, maybe even next week.

Hi we are thinking about buying an eriba but I just wondered what car you use for towing thanks

    • @whereveraway
      @whereveraway  ปีที่แล้ว

Hi Jackie, the larger Eriba Troll or 530 has a max weight loaded of around 1400kg. I would go with a car of 1600kg towing capacity or more and automatic is best. I wouldn’t tow with a low suspension car either. Most average sized family cars will do, just check the manual.
