Just updated to IOS 18 dev beta today. I really like the home screen customization. I have wanted large icons and resizable widgets since I migrated from Android..
Can you please tell me if split screen is in ios 18

Reviewers seem to always forget to mention what’s available on what device so here you go:
- Music Haptics
- Eye Tracking
- Homescreen parallax effect
- Bezel Dent animation
Only available on iPhone 12 and up.
- New flashlight controls are only available on iPhone 14 & 15 Pros
- Time display (not mentioned in the video) when iPhone battery is dead is only available on AOD devices, so 14 & 15 Pros
- New charge limits are only available on iPhone 15’s, battery info still is as well.
9:44 it’s literally worse, makes videos smaller AND in some aspect ratios the scrubber is ON the video
I notice the homescreen has some sort of parallax effect. is that a hidden feature or it a edit thing?
Why dont they use the real estate next to the old notch to give the sam effect as the dynamic island? Buy the new phone but make the old one cool as well.
Thanks for the video Michael , i really hope they provide some sort of accessibility option for people like me who are sensitive to PWM flicker present in OLED and cant really use their phones as it causes severe headaches. Not sure why apple doesnt provide any option like that and they have bunch of other useless options.

how come no one speaks about the dual language keyboard?
I tried the eye tracking feature on iPad it thought I was drunk cursor bouncing all over the screen.😂 I do wear glasses so I don’t know if that affected it also.

wasn't the cue feature already present? I used to swipe to the right and get 2 options: cue next and cue last 🧐
on Music, forgot to mention.
It’s kinda confusing, but the play next would always override the previous queued up song. Now we can sort of make on-the-spot playlists where if we keep pressing “add to up next” it will ignore the other songs that would’ve played next. Brandon Butch’s video explains it very well
@@iDB oh I see! I think I was thinking about just adding it to the current queue and not necessarily to a playlist. And also I realised I wrote cue haha, time to sleep in London :D
7:08 music haptics is missing for me in the settings, then i tried to enable it in the control centre but it’s greyed out for me
It’s a beta 1 glitch. Close out of settings in multitasking, then open settings and search for music haptics. It only shows up on a fresh opening of settings

You can pinch on the calendar view to bring up what the calendar events are
they've finally fixed the one tap quick (butt) dial issue from before, from the recents / call history screen. now it opens the contact first, thankfully. favourites still continues to be one tap call.

Hey any idea if we’re getting the ability to set individual Text Tones again? Another TH-camr on iOS18 beta said it’s back, could you confirm this? I miss the ability of knowing who text me simply by their text tone without having to stop what I’m doing to see if it’s a text message that I need to reply quickly too or not….APPLE please tell me you brought this feature BACK!!😃
Is there eyetracking in iPhone 11 Pro?
It’s just sad that Apple will leave most iPhone users without the Apple intelligence features, the features that really matter in this new iOS, the features that I thought “finally a new feature for the iPhone” cuz since the iPhone X all we had was improvements, now it’s like having an iPhone 4 and not being able to use Siri cuz it was only available on the 4s

Vivo, Red Magic, Honor, One Plus , Google, Huawei fan , I think apple did well with the personal voice AI , and siri AI features and a few other things like crash detection and emergency satellite

Thanks so much! I’ve always hated how wide the flashlight is, I also think that the motion sickness one is a game changer if it works. My daughter has autism and gets car sick. I really hope this helps her!
Some of these features they added are cool and should have been on iOS long time ago. Most of us probably have an automation already for most of these but for new users it obviously makes it easier. Great video!
I’ve updated the iOS 18 it’s very good, it’s better then iOS 16 and iOS 17 I love iOS 18
You can expand the calendar view, by basically doing a “pinch to zoom/expand”
Would be amazing if they combine eye tracking with voice command.
