AN INSPIRATIONAL vlogger with an incurable disease hopes to spread love and positivity by sharing her story online. For 14 years Farah Khaleck, from Nairobi, Kenya, has been severely affected by scleroderma - a rare autoimmune disorder which causes hardening of soft tissue throughout the body. As Farah’s condition began to worsen, the 32-year-old would shy away from posting pictures of herself online. Her life changed forever after a ‘spiritual experience’ left her feeling empowered and ready to love herself again. While she struggles to find employment in Nairobi because of her limited movement - her positive outlook on life and love of social media mean her story is spreading worldwide and inspiring countless people. @cream we all have something to complain about, but some of us decide to do something about it. It is ok to feel down, to cry, to vent. But at some point we must move on and grow. OP's comment is pointing out that this wonderful girl has chosen to do just that, move on and live happy. While others continue to dwell on the smallest issues in their lives.
I have seen you comment on several people's comments on this video belittling them for their positive outlook on this video. If you are negitive and upset, that is ok, you have problems going on in your own life, as we all do. But please, let the rest of us feel inspired and grow from this girl's example.

My sister has scleroderma and I wish there were more medication for pain maybe one day they'll be more options gods speed
Yes the pain is intense. My #1 go to is a topical gel. It has really helped me get thru many days. I've used it when I've gone to Disneyland. Sitting up for a long time hurts my neck and smothering it on allows me to enjoy outings with my family. Volteran Gel is what I use.

As someone with a collagen disorder (not scleroderma) I can feel her pain. I'm glad she's living her best life, she's beautiful, inside and out. Her positive spirit is something we should all have.
She is more beautiful then most people this day in age. She is definitely a bright light in the dark hateful world we live in. Keep on living your best life sweet girl🌷❤
This is why I get so pissed off when people want to beat down others for their religious choices. If they aren't hurting anyone, then who cares? Leave them alone. Don't call them wrong or stupid or try to force a different one on them. Her religion helped her find happiness and love for herself. Why would you want to take that from someone?

My father in law who I loved SO DEARLY, lived and died from his scleroderma. He NEVER looked like this. The ONLY visible clue was his hands got REALLY big, and his fingernails looked like they would pop off! He'd gotten a strange tunnel hole open under his toes on one foot, and had been seeing a podiatrist, and it had been going on for many months, and the podiatrist had us packing it with gauze to try to get the hole to close, but it wasn't happening the tunnel was opening bigger. In the middle of this, he had gone to a grocery store, and had falling down and hit his head on a cement pillar. The ambulance took him to our local Health Care Center where the service is so dangerous they lost the right to be called the hospital. Literally when I was a little girl it used to be called the hospital and because of all the lawsuits the state forced them to remove Hospital from their name. I myself almost died there but he was taken there by the ambulance and they tried telling us he was drunk and just sending him home. But he had had a heart attack in the past and we demanded a blood test and lo and behold he had a heart attack. So thank God they don't have the proper facilities and after stalling like that and wasting so much time with someone having a heart attack, they send us by ambulance to the hospital an hour away. That hospital started treating the heart attack by putting in stents. After the procedure they put him on an aggressive course of antibiotics, which caused him to contract a case of c-diff while he was there at that hospital. C-diff and conjunction with scleroderma is extremely dangerous, c-diff alone is already life-threatening, but scleroderma turns your outside to Stone and your inside to bubble gum. So they had to be very careful in treating him, and they took a good look at that tunnel under his foot and said that that was caused by his scleroderma. And the C diff was somehow aggravating that tunnel under his foot as well. But while he was there they sewed it shut. And he ended up later with a horrific infection in that foot because they did that and it didn't heal and the tunnel had kept growing even though at the skin level it was sewn shut. So the heart situation taken care of, the foot situation sewn shut, the C diff taken care of, they send them home. However, because of that seriously aggressive course of antibiotics, he started having severe problems between the scleroderma and the c-diff that never really went away. He ended up back in this two-bit Healthcare Center and never left. The scleroderma mixed with a C diff and the antibiotics, ate a hole in his stomach, which the doctors had to try to sew up and they told us it was like trying to sew up bubble gum that have been chewed 4 a week so it was disintegrating as they were trying to sew it. He ended up on the ventilator four months, and we still don't really understand how that happened we were just told it was basically complications of the scleroderma. We were then told that they were going to move him to a transition home the next day so he could start preparing to go home because they've gotten him off the ventilator and they felt that he could start going to physical therapy and start working on eating and things like that because he was breathing on his own he wasn't really sitting up and talking but they felt that he would have a better chance and one of these homes which with my pre-med and also my knowledge of helping people in crisis because I used to teach first responder courses I was just completely floored because he hadn't eaten food in like 5 months and if someone's not talking and sitting up and moving how can you put them out of the ICU? Much less put them into a transition home? But I digress, we were getting ready for that for the next day, when we get a call at 2 in the morning saying that he didn't have long and we better get up to the hospital. He died a half an hour later due to complications of Scleroderma is what we were told. So this young lady is Brave and beautiful and I hope she keep smiling because she has every reason to smile!
It's hard to accept yourself even if you are normal. Glad to hear that she embraced herself. No matter if we love or hate ourselves, you yourself are the truth which can't be changed.
