@rajaboy He lived near me and I saw him once! He got very pleased when I used to see him on screen and say -Parkin friend" Apparently! I was only small at the time!

Leonard Parkin was the chief presenter of News at One on ITV at the time. He retired in 1987 at the age of 58.
