If anyone I think Isiah is the one who should try and get up to 60. (if these contemporary generations of athletes already in their 20's can reasonably and realistically aim there at all) What makes me say it is his foremost his age, I'm 28 and if I remember correctly he's a bit younger. This'll make him able to just tap now into the potential of his heavy lifting, as he's getting his fully developed male body. Making all he's done so far just his actual base! Secondarily, but a necessary codition, Isiah is now 10 years ahead of himself with his understanding of jump posturality and efficiency. Meaning in his mind I'm sure he can visualize (his) perfect movement efficiency but he must know he's still far from that. And nothing stays the same. Which is exciting!! #AirBendIt260
the best awnser to this is literally calculate your max box jump and put it a quarter of a foot higher u want to geg off of it with drop jump form and use your hands for support when landing
@@IsaiahRivera1Yo Isiah have you seen that recent study about increasing rate of force development with supplemental hydrolyzed collagen and vitamin C? I think I tried to tell you about a similar study that implied this should work years ago but now it’s recently been proven. The study is “Collagen and Vitamin C Supplementation Increases Lower Limb Rate of Force Development.”
Isiah I have a question for you. Do you recommend conjugate training method for the flexibility it provides? I’m a full-time engineering student and at the same time working full time in a restaurant to pay off my tuition. I still love training but I really need to program it well to make sure I won’t burn out. So I did a lot bit research on training programming and I’m really buy into conjugate method now.
I would add to the above comment get in the weight room and get strong. It's very helpful, really helped me on my journey. It does NOT, contrary to popular myths, stunt your growth in any way done properly. Stress over perfect form, and get strong!
Do you got any advice for dunking with your non dominant hand because for some reason I jump my highest off my right foot despite me being right handed
I’ve seen a lot of people say it’s a problem with load management of plyometric contacts. Obviously get stronger and more stiff+elastic tendons but I would lower how many plyometric contacts you are doing and monitor pain and slowly increase contacts/intensity while keeping pain low.
yes if it impedes how much u can hinge ur hips to a certain point.you only need to be able to touch your toes maximum this is to avoid any back pain. affected my 2 foot bounce not sure about 1 foot tho
Fun story, I signed up for ATG back in 2018. Did extreme levels of stretching every day and became the most flexible I ever have. Jumped lower lol. I like having just enough hamstring flexibility to be able to pull from the floor, anything past that and I’ve seen a negative effect on my vertical.
If you can do 300 pounds for a 1 rep max you can probably move 305 pounds but maybe not lock it out. You have to do more for a weight you can't lift sometimes.
The SSC is indeed not magic. Good athletes can stretch their tendon without any momentum just from a explosive concentric contraction. Longer tendons help a lot.
I won’t lie this stuff can be complex if this is the first time hearing it but anything you don’t understand you could Google it and come back. I doubt they will put graphs as it’s a lot more work and they have other stuff to focus of higher performance.
We’re gonna buy a whiteboard for the vids, it should help understand the concepts wayyyy more. I know for me personally I didn’t understand a lot of this until I saw it represented visually

Relate them ya self he ain’t a track athlete
It should be relatively the same and jumping high on the court usually correlates well to track and field

What do you think about Ja Morant's workout, his dad made him jump on the tractor tire and said that made him really athlethic.
He just means that he did a lot of plyometrics from a young age, of course that's gonna get you jumping out the gym
if you are really young doing a ton of plyos will definitely give you a very high ceiling
As a young athlete looking to improve my vertical, what should I focus on?
Jump and try to dunk daily

could i do the overcoming isometrics on the leg press machine?

are shin splints during jumps a result of weaker tendons or weaker muscles?
Both

Neglect of tibialis. Do toe raises

How much do you think achilles lenght affects vertical jump? Do people with a longer achilles have a higher potential than people with short achilles?
Stiffness is much more important than length
@@noahhannon2305It depends. If the athlete isn’t strong enough to fully extend his stiff tendons, it’s much worse than having less stiff tendons.

Why notuse flywheel training exactly for that instead of super heavy risky lifts. 😮
